The short version: The addition of the share button allows entire threads to be inserted into social networks which means readers on other sites have one click access back here on OH. Some see it comprable to cutting and pasting which was always possible. Others see it as more invasive giving easy access to the technically unsophisticated and the trolls with time on their hands. Still others are concerned that we had no advanced notice allowing us to close our profiles in advance. It takes a week to ten days for al search engines to catch up so they don't find you here if you do not want to be found. Many, myself included do not chare what is on OH outside of here. Go back to Wed/ Thurs of last week to follow the threads if you please.
