Ted and Gayle Haggard on Oprah today... Oh God, I think I just....

 ...threw up a little in my mouth. IS SHE NUCKING FUTS OR WHAT??!?!!?!?!!!!!!

I am emotionally draining by this story. They got me once on Oprah, shame on them. They got me twice on Oprah, shame on me. They aren't getting me again. 

what happened?  what was said?  what is their slant now?

He has been freed from his gay urges.  If she believes that she's crazy...  There's a switch that can turn it on and off?  Why are they making this public?   This is just sad but if that's how they've decided to handle it that's them... they don't need to not talk publicly because someone just might believe this mess and cause someone a lot of pain trying to change them into something they are not...

She wrote a book called "Why I stayed". She talks about knowing from very early in their marriage that he had dreams of sexual encounters with men. She also stated that him being with men was not as bad if he had been with other women, because if he had been with other women, his affairs would be about her not being pretty enough or special enough, or didn't love him enough.

Ted said that she's infatuated with him... she corrected him and said "No, I LOVE YOU".

This is the kind of love that I have no appetite for.

Birdman, with these two, the possibilites are endless. I really don't want to waste another priceless TV moment on those two.

This is what I found to be so ridiculous about the whole thing. A lie is a lie and an infidelity is an infidelity. He cheated, should it matter if it was with a man or woman? I don't know. I'd be caught up in the fact that my husband was not who I thought he was to be able to wrap my head around the cheating part. But, that's just how I roll....

In my opinion, this goes to show us all just how far people will go or how low they will stoop to sell a friggin' book.  We already know that he preached "fire and brimstone" against gays in his sermons as a pastor, while secretly getting teabagged on the low with male prostitutes.  We also know that he got dumped out of the very profitable church that he himself founded because of his desires to engage in man-on-man love sessions in seedy hotels filled with drugs and alcohol.  And we already know that he was left almost penniless without any marketable job skills to help him provide for himself and his family going forward. 

Other than, perhaps, that the CIA implanted severe gay thoughts into his mind via the family hamster or via a bottle of black shoe polish, or that an alien spaceship abducted him, anally probed him, and changed his diaper back when he was 1 year old, what more can this dynamic duo tell us?
