So my insurance company requires that I go through a six month supervised diet before they approve me for RNY. Well I started that process back in July so Feb will be my last month for it. Well my appt is on the 4th (next thursday), but dang it, I have been waiting for 7 months for this! So I want to change it to Feb 1st (Monday). Do you think that will be a problem? I don't think it will be because February is February! And I am ready to turn everything in!

Sooooo  what you think???

6 months is 6 months.

Short em out on the days, you give them a reason to deny.  That’s your gamble.

I seriously doubt it will get you an earlier surgery date and it may get you denied if the diet documentation is four days short.  Sit on your hands and hold tight.  Its only a week away.

You would probably have a hard time getting an appt anyway....just hold out...it will be here before you know it.  I am sure your doctor scheduled you that way for a reason.

If it's a requirement on your insurance plan you need to follow their protocol. They are the ones in charge for approving you or denying you. So hold tight.

I do not see the difference that 3 days will make...You have it scheduled already so I would just go with that...I Wish you the best of luck.

With insurance they purposely want to give a reason to deny you...Trust me, do the entire 6 months.. If they deny you because of your days....which they can You will have to start the process all over again.
