K, Isn't this a solution to the hot mess that OH has put us in?

I have been out of the loop somewhat, so was surprised to see everyone was up in arms yesterday.  But, in the response that someone posted, they gave an option for creating private groups. 

So my question is...Why can't we just put BAF in a private group?   Then there will be no need to restrict our postings.  I guess it will need a moderator to approve members, which will be easy at first, as  those who are recoginized members or who have had profiles for more than x amount of time can be automatically approved... Then we can decide what requirements to put in place for the newbies. 

Pros, cons, suggestions???

honestly I think it's gone way too far and that is so unnecessary.  I think the share thing totally sucks but for real, it's not as serious as everyone disappearing from the board.  Remove your face, yes, understood, but change the name delete all traces of ever having been here and never say anything else?  Ridiculous.  I think of it like making a *****if you can't positively identify my face or tats then it aint me.  So if you've changed your avie what's the big deal?

I have repeatly said this and I will say it again... I treat ANY on-line forum like I treat my every day life I ONLY share what I don't mind the whole world knowing.

You make a great point.  For da rekkid – my ***** was pre WLS – very hard to tell that’s me…. LOL!

I changed my screen name because I use it on more than just OH – otherwise, I would have been cool.  So – I know to keep the two totally separate – and now that the share button appears to have changed – I think my blog will come out of hiding as well.

Agreed! I'm about ready for them to make a forum for all the *****ers and whiners. It's REALLY not that serious.

People are acting as if OH has been behind some magic firewall against the rest of the real world, and suddenly the curtain was pulled, 'exposing' everyone. That is not the case.

no - it's not the case and that's not how most explained their problem with it.  including me.

But as I have said before...what stopped people from posting links to things here on their FB pages before?! NOTHING. Highlight, copy, paste.  THAT is why I don't understand the uproar. Whomever has NO LIFE and would want to do it in the first place has likely already done it.

not so - believe it or not, there are relatively dumb people out there who would not have cut and pasted, but will click. 

Is it that hard to believe that someone would click a button quicker than highlight, copy and then paste?  really that hard to believe?
