WTF the world wide web is not private! However other than us who would know that you frequent this site, post and  our screennames..................and to think (prior to reading posts today) I was going to post my new facebook pic on this site this weekend......NOT

I know after reading all of the other post..I just set my profile as needed and also deleted somethings.....

This has always been so. I google myself, screen names and domains etc regularly.   If someone already knows you're on OH they can find your profile in search engines.  I never use my real name when registering for a site.  Even my facebook account is a psudonymn. 

I use only common place names and abbreviations.  My names from various sites gets 5,800 - 850,000 hits.  Too numerous to be immediately associated with me. 

A search on my old screen name brings up a link to an analysis of BAF posting trends and posts from the past week complete with screen names.  Everybody's.  I tried to paste it but it won't display properly so I had to delete. 

If someone knows you use this site and you use a name tied to you they can find your posts.  

I am very hard to find too. A person would need to dig deep to find me.in a search engine...regardless of the site I use.

I am the net detective for real!  I have always done the cloak and dagger - you can't google me or find me very easy at ALL!  When I started here at OH - I didn't use my real ish - so I'm still good.

BUT - more than OH knew my previous screen name - so that's my point of 'bleedover' - Imma have to sit back and think that out.  I MAY come back full force one day - not for now!

Thanks so much I did this and yes it says my profile is private, BUT on the very last link it actually takes u to all of my Blog entries and I dont like that at all. How do I get that private or do I just erase? My Mom always warned me about putting my business on the web!
