Goodbye Diabetes!!! - XPost

My endocrinologist (diabetes doctor) dismissed me today!!!

I have been off my diabetes meds since Sept 12 (two days before surgery) & my A1c today was 6.0 (down an additional .2 since Dr. Houston checked it in December). Whoo Whooo!!!

Today I said my official goodbye to diabetes (although I know I will always have occasional finger sticks and annual A1c checks). My whole reason for having RNY has been fulfilled. I am so glad I made this decision.

CONGRATS...I just found out that after my sleep study in September 2009 that I no longer have sleep apnea which made me feel really good.
