Sleep Study

Just got a call from Ochsner Hospital today.  Scheduled my sleep study for next Tuesday, the 26th.  I have to be at the hospital before 7:30 pm and will be there until 6:30 am the next day.  With my first nutritionist visit on Friday, things are moving along.  I have 15 days off for vacation starting on Monday, so my goal is to get all of the pre-op stuff out of the way before I go back to work.  What does one need for a sleep study?  I have never gone to bed at 7:30 pm.

You don't actually have to go to sleep at 7:30.  My room had a tv, and I brought a book.  around midnight, they told me I had to turn off the tv and try to sleep.  They woke me up a few hours later and put a CPAP on me.  The next morning, I went home.  I was tired as all get out, but I made it through!  LOL

You basically just need to show up and bring your jammies, and try not to scratch yourself to much when your sleeping.

I'm glad things are moving so fast for you.   You will be on the losers bench before you know it.

I had a few Sleep studies done before,  I usually take a pillow and a blanket and clothes to change into the next day.  The rooms usually look more like hotel rooms than a hospital room so its pretty comfy.  The facility I went to had huge jaccuzzi tubs in the bathrooms!
