try Luiziane.  It's supposed to be "the" Iced tea tea and that's actually what a lot of restaurants use.  They even have a caffeine free.  That's what I brew at home and personally I think it's the absolute best for iced tea that I've tried.

The calories make it off limits for me.

A few years ago I started getting hooked on sweet tea when I began spending time in the South.  I bought an ice tea maker.  Three quarts at a time, pour in the splenda then fill with ice and I've got a days worth of liquids in ten minutes.

I like the Luzzane (spelling may be off) decaf best.  When I don't home brew I pick up a gallon of diet brewed tea.

Can you ween yourself off by getting 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet and adding Splenda? Gradually work your way all the way to unsweet.  That's what I did...

I agree w/ the others it can be a bad habit.  Besides the sugar their tea has caffeine which is addictive.  I'm thinking you are addicted to the sugar and caffeine and not the fact that it's cheap, cause techncally you can put any beverage in that $1 cup they give you and you can get a big gulp ant any convenience store for $1 or less.

I see you have already had to have a  revision (I am assuming you may have regained from the 1st surgery) , so  you should be giving yourself the best chance of being successful this time.  Why go through the pain and expense of wls if you don't give yourself the best chance to be successful?  You deserve to be healthy and happy, and a sweet tea is not that serious to be self sabotaging.

Get your tea fix every now and then, but don't go overboard with it.

I too love McDonald's sweet tea, and I have tried the 1/2 sweet, 1/2 unsweet, and it just does not hit the spot. I have never struggled with soda, I could careless if I never touched  another soda, but sweet tea, Lord have mercy I would not make it without it. I also brew my own, but it is not the same, I have used splenda and equal and I am just not satisfied... so like you, I think I am addicted... When I find a cure for my sweet tea addiction, I will share the secret with you...
