When I saw my best friend from high school the first time I was thin she had saw me a year before when I was at my fattest, but when she saw me she did not say a word about my weight. I told Becca what the hell was that and Becca was ike forget it. So the whole time I was visiting I wore tight ass jeans to make me look smaller, and tight shirts to show off.
I figured if you gone be jealous i'm gonna really give you something to be jealous about. Well after about a week she called me a skinny ass, that confirmed it all. LOL. She told me she wouldn't want to be that thin. LOL LOL. Man I was in heaven
But she got over it and we are closer than ever.

@ you wearing the skinny jeans...& her calling you skinny assBoy...I tell you....I don't know what I would do without all you guys. I feel much better. Thanks for that Lee...I hope she comes around or at least shares her feelings opening with me so that we can discuss them.
It happens...I lost more than a few friends to WLS in the years directly following it. However in the last year two have come to me for advice about their own WL journey. People are fickle and though we may love each other; not everyone can accept change and that is what you are going through. Be gracious, open, caring and loving...but above it all be the the best woman you can be with your eye on the Lord and everything will be just fine.

A true friend will support your decision and stick with you through thick and thin! But again women are women and than green eye of jealousy pops up in the best of friends, maybe she is just sad that you may be passing HER, but if she is truly your friend she will come around, try to motivate her too in losing weight this way, she may not be so jealous! I hope things works out!

Well...I know she is frustrated because she can't seem to get her weight back under control. She has been doing a LOT of snacking at all times of the day. I have offered her suggestions. Right now...she has issues with insurance and she has never really been positive about WLS. Then again...she never really met the criteria before. I will revisit it with her when she is a little more open. Thanks again for the advice!

it's funny...I got distracted from answering this earlier and I was gonna tell you about my best frienemy since HS who I have not spoken to since last February and true story how bout she called me out of the blue about 2 hours ago?
I dunno what's up with people I would hate to think a petite chick with an onion would be threatened by her big as friend getting healthy, but I also can't ignore the possibility.
I've always been the cute shoes dresses nice fully made up chick, but I think it's "amusing" when you're a fatass. It can become a threat once you're "on their level"She posted a few pics on fb a while back where she looks fuller and I saw someone write on her wall "I hear congrats are in order" so I assumed she was pregnant, but she made no mention of it just now and based on the conversation I doubt it. Basically, she's gained weight that she's struggling with. Does the spat and absence have anything to do with it? Who knows, but true friends eventually find their way back. Unfortunately though things change and people can become frienemies. All you can do is make sure you've been a good friend.

Its funny that you use that term, "frienemies" because while I love this friend...I have seen things in her that make me wonder sometimes. I have been a good friend that for sure. I'll give her some space for now....see what happens.
Thats interesting about your HS buddy calling you out the blue like that...wonder if she was thinking of you when she heard about Haiti ( I saw you mention that you were Haitian in the other post...& it seemed you were being serious).
Its true that you do see who your real friends are when you are going through something. Hope your interactions are positive ones.
