We’re all sinners. Nobody is better or worse than anyone else. God judges people by their heart. I believe both the atheist and the Wiccan dancing around the oak tree have hope of being saved. It might be a process that takes years, but God is patient and kind. I don't envision God as being angry when people reject Him. I believe it makes Him profoundly sad. As believers, we should encourage people to consider the benefits of being a child of God. Fear mongering is IMO counterproductive in building relationships.

One caveat: Just as there are people who are born again of Christ, there are also those who made a conscious decision to serve the devil and do evil. They’re screwed.

Some might argue that America’s current economic situation is punishment because so many people in this country loved and worshiped money.
