FOOD
I am 10 days out today and I so miss FOOD... I had a wicked dream last night is this normal? I was never a steak and potato kinda girl more so, Mc Donalds, Double Stuff Oreo etc.. But I had an intimate almost sexual dream about being at a BIG BBQ like Fair(Carnival type) and each booth had a different kind of meat basted in BBQ sauce and I stop and I remember this vividly it was a BBQ grilled steak(do people BBQ steak on the grill like ribs?) and the guy pointed to me and put a steak on a plate took a CHUNKs of Bleu Cheese and smoothered it all over the steak and added mushrooms and onions on top and drizzled bbq sauce over it and handed it to me with a HUGE smile and I cut into it and all this juice was dripping and when I went to put it in my mouth I WOKE UP. Been on liquids since Dec. 21st Whoever said WLS is the easy way out has no BRAIN or knowledge AT ALL! Not only has my insides been re arranged and I am full of enough gas to open a BP station on top of it all, I CANT EAT! Thanks for allowing me to share!

Um, ah, eh......WOW!
I can't comment on sexualizing a steak but I will comment on the normalcy of missing food. Yes, most of us "miss" food, especially if it was our comfort in hard times. It was the only friend we had that never spoke back. It takes a while to get out of your head (and apparently loins, lol) but it will happen. The real trick is banishing that "friend" forever. That is where most of us struggle. Getting our friend to go on sabbatical is not a problem once you have had surgery but exiling him forever is where the ongoing challenge of WLS exists.
Good luck...in fact, scratch that...you'll be fine, and have faith in that.

You will still have times when you want something so bad you just want to cry because you know if you do eat it the effect will be very bad . Just know that you are not the only one going through this. My suggestion is to find a support group in your area that way you can see the people who are having the issues as you are. It worked wonders for me.
Good Luck you will be just fine remember in the run the outcome will be worth all of this.

......aint this the TRUTH....
but the good news is that you wont even to be able to eat all that even if you try! But hang in there...you just sound like a good old fashioned food addict. People with drug and alchohol addictions often have dreams about doing drugs or drinking after they quit. Sounds like you're having a food one. Welcome! lol..it gets better.
