Yes there were racial overtones I think they could have used different dialogue than "blue monkeys" to describe the Navi tribe.
Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and the special effects.
Yes I would go and see it again, and we have to use this as a lesson in history, movie making, money, life and the right to free speech. lol
My most sincere hope is that Zoe Saldana and CCH Pounder and Laz Alonso will benefit financially (even half) as great as Kate W and Leo did with Titanic. Speaking of a 1 billion dollar purse and going strong.

Man...you guys are really revving me up to want to go see this movie now. I told my oldest daughter and she wants to see it too. Avatar is the story of the conquest and massacre of the American Indian. The parallels are crazy, they even called them "savages" in the movie. The Avatarian people even looked like indians, were super in tune with nature and had a kinship. Not to mention their "Big Tree," and their communication with dead ancestors.
Oh and the whites of course wanted what was their land resources, so they kill them off and take their land because they feel entitled to it. Manifest what? lol. Man, Becca and I kept sitting there talking about the parallels the entire movie.
