Scale Fluctuations.....

Hey BAF....

I have a question.  I'm about 2 1/2 months post-op.  I started @ 339, and I'm down to 276.  I've noticed for the past week or so that the scale seems to be fluctuating about a pound or 2 when I check my weight.  Is this normal? I drink lots of water (70-80 oz a day), exercise and eat healthy.  My protein intake is pretty good too.  No matter what I do, I can't seem to get over this hump.  I'm wondering if this will stop.  It gets frustrating, because I feel like I'm doing something wrong.  I know people say, "don't weigh yourself too much!" But it's hard when one day you're stuck and the next the scale has moved in the right direction, and the next you're back to where you were. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't be a prisoner to your scale be it will drive you nuts.  You will have a drought but then the weight loss will start again.  Give it some time it has only been 2 1/2 months.

Early out the weight loss was continuous for me and recently I had to put the pedal to the metal but if you are doing everythign you should be doing I would continue to focus on that and less on the numbers for now...Good luck.

Thanks so much Isa.  Very proud of you!! I'm going to stay away from the scale completely, and focus on following the plan. Congrats on your success!

Thanks Lisa...I would pick a day of the week and weigh in on that date...I used to remove my scale from the bathroom until my weigh in day...Even now with my last 12 lbs I do the same.

KaLisa,
Sounds like you're experiencing the dreaded stall.  Try switching up your routine for a while and increasing your protein.

Yeah, I thought it was a stall too.  It happens a lot lately though.  Like I told the above posters....I'm going to stay off of my scale.  Easier said than done I guess.
