Good Morning BAF family,

This morning when I woke up to go to the gym a craving hit me and I was so upset because I know I can't have it.  Then I thought about all the things that I miss since having WLS.

1. Fresh white bread with a big heaping of peanut butter little bit of jelly and a glass of skim milk right out of the freezer.  (oh my)

2. Getting a glass of ice cold water and drinking it down.  (oh my)

3. Hot sauce or any spicy foods. (oh boy)

4. Curry Goat

5. Indian food

6. Boiled eggs

I stopped eating red meat and pork before I had WLS but I do miss my beef liver, ox tails and ham hocks

None it's your turn family what do you miss since your WLS?

The only thing I miss is having the capacity to eat LARGE quantities of something I like.

Regarding specific foods, there's nothing that I really consider forbidden.  Since having RNY I have eaten all of my favorite foods.  I jus****ch my portions and eat treats in moderation.

OK I never had a portion problem mine was what I ate and when I ate it.

You know, I used to go from one extreme to another, depending on whether or not I was on a diet.  I was either starving or else I was consuming mass quantities of food.  Once I was on Optifast and did not eat a bite of solid food for months.  At the other end of the spectrum, on a binge night I could eat a medium Domino's double pepperoni by myself and wa**** down with a hot fudge brownie and a cold beer.  There was something satisfying about that full-to-feeling-stretched sensation.  I've had to get used to a different kind of satiety since having WLS.  I don't eat to be full anymore.  I eat to be not hungry, if that makes sense.

That makes a lot of sense.  Trust me I always say food addiction is hard because you need food to survive you just don't need as much as we ate to survive.

i miss eating foods in the way they were intended to be eaten.  for example, eating a totally dressed juicy cheeseburger w/bun.  eating a 6 inch chicken bacon ranch sub on whole wheat bread...lightly toasted...  OMG   and to be able to eat a slice of pizza the normal way instead of lookin' "proper" by eating the toppings off with a fork...smh

Yeah that all sound good except the burger mine would be turkey or veggie.

Oh I thought of another.... Chicken cheese steak on a nice roll with sauteed onions and mushroom with extra mayo and ketcup salt and pepper.

As Florida Evens would say...... DAMM DAMM DAMM

It is amazing how each person is different...I can eat pizza...the whole slice and burger with 1/2 of the bun
