Walden Farms Calorie Free/Fat Free/Sugar Free Salad Dressing

Another OH member and friend of mine discovered a great dressing. I finallly found it today at my local grocer....in the section where lettuce and cold salad dressings are found.

It's made by WALDEN FARMS.

My choice is the Balsamic Vinegarette flavor. There were other flavors but I normally gravitate to vinegarettes.

Serving Size 2tsp... Zero Calories.....Zero Fat Calories...Zero everything....EXCEPT for the sodium. Sodium is 260mg per serving size or 11% of the recommended daily allowance.

Is this the BEST tasting dressing I've ever tried? NO

But it does suffice and allows me to eat salad without the stomach ache associated with other dressings full of sugar, etc.

Hope you find this useful.

Take Care,

Annelle

The flavors have improved a lot over the years.  I won't eat anything I have to just tolerate.  Especially now with just a pouch , each bite is precious, lol.  The creamy bacon dressing (low cal) is now my favorite.  The low cal items are usually beter then the zero cal.  However, I love the zero cal bbq spicey bbq sauce and ranch dip.

I tried to eat the regular stuff but it upsets my stomach. Possibly because I'm a newby. For example, I had a grilled chicken salad from Zaxby's (no cheese no fried onions). I looked at the back of the dressing packets and the Mediterranean had the least amount of sugar per packet at only 2 grams. The lite vinegarette had 7 or 8 grms..don't remember exactly. Well, I didn't actually eat the entire salad...only about a 1/4 of it.

I didn't have a dumping episode but my stomach was hurting slightly. Tolerable but uncomfortable. I thought it was the lettuce and other veggies but it turns out it was the dressing.

For some reason, sugar sends me over the edge. Hopefully, as time goes on I'll be able to tolerate the regular stuff better.

I've been a fan for many many years, perhaps a decade.  I discovered them at Trader Joe's a long time back.

I like the creamy bacon dressing which is just 40 cal per 2 tbls followed by the ranch dip which is zero everything.  I also use the zero everything bbq sauces, ketchup, apple butter, balsamic & blue cheese dressings and seafood ****tail sauce regularly.

I've tried the chocolate and the marshmallow dips but they are too sweet for me.  The mayo is a little sweet too but mixed with hellmans light mayo it works for me.  I'd like to try the peanutbutter spread and the french onion dip but I'll have to orderr them online.
