Keeping my Eye on 34 pounds to lose by 5/24/2010

Well...I decided that I really need to make these separate post for myself. Yeah I could just do this in my blog but I don't look at my blog whenever I log on to OH.  It just helps for me to keep my goal IN MY FACE. So by putting it here, I can't help but keep it FRESH and up front whenever I am viewing the BAF message board.

As you can see, I am well on my way to losing the 40 pounds by 5/24/2010. Only 34 more pounds to go and I will be at 180.  I will then go in for my plastic surgery consult...not a day before.  I am hoping that my back will be completely flat by that time.  I hold most of my weight in my midsection so I know that I will have the best results with a flat back...that way they can pull any skin up front or throw that shioot way...heyl make a purse out of it...I don't care...just get it the heyl off of me.

Last night was my first time doing the weight training in a while.  I tell you...I actually enjoyed it. Seems my muscles were needing a little exercise.  My oldest daughter joined me on the treadmill, bikes and walked around with me as I did the weights.  She helped me by wiping the equipment down after I used each one. Guess what...we even got in a nice little talk...a little mother- daughter time.  She is growing up so fast and I see that I really need to make an effort to give her more alone time away from her little sister...who as of late has been getting on her last nerve. So...there may be several auxiliary benefits of exercise for me.

The last time I weighed 214, I was in High School.  I have a favorite pair of jeans that I DID NOT want to let go of for anything. I had gained weight and was determined to get in those bad boys.  I laid on the bed and took a pair of scissors...put one of the blades through the eye of the zippers and used all my might to zip those jeans up. Its a wonder I did not cut one of my fingers off...SMDH!  I then had to roll my azz over of my belly to get up.  Those jeans were so tight...I walked like I had a severe case of hemorrhoids until they loosened up a little.  Guess what....I still have those pair of jeans to this day...I kid you not.  I don't know what possessed me to keep them but I remember always saying that I am going to be able to fit these jeans again one day. This has been a dream that I have held onto for over 24 years...can you believe that shioot.  I am going to go through my storage bins this weekend and find those jeans. I know that within the next 20 pounds I will be able to wear them again. I am just praying that I or no one else inadvertently threw them out during the last move..pretty certain I still have them though.

Well...I will report my plan for the day in MSW's accountability thread.  Hope all our on track and focused with your plans for the day. Peace.

Thanks MSW!

Well...I do know that I am losing water now since my salt intake has decreased tremendously but hey...6 pounds is 6 pounds. I know that it will slow down in a few so I have myself mentally prepared for that too...so that I don't get discouraged.

I do know that more protein...less carbs needs to remain on my plan indefinitely.  I threw out my wheat bread because I consider it a gateway FOOD for me..LOL.. like Marijuana is a gateway drug.  Wheat bread will only lead to me wanting other carbs because I tell you I know how to dress up some wheat bread up and make it taste like buttered raisin bread or bread pudding using only Mozzarella Cheese, Raisins and cinnamon. Before I know it...I am craving the real thing. So for now...its off my grocery list.

Gurl...I wish I had nice skin.  Its much better than it used to be tough. I had serious acne as a teenager. I don't like wearing make up and I can get by without it now  but I have found Prescriptives to be the best brand that I could have ever stumbled across.  Its light and it blends in so nicely. They have excellent color matching. I buy mine at Macys.

You don't look made up at all.  I had no idea prscriptives matched us dark skinned girls so well.  I've been using bobbi brown and mac for a decade.  Time to check out the perscriptives counter.  Thanks.
