Accountability Mission: No Mercy and No Excuses 

Happy SATURDAY BAF Family! Late again but cut me a little slack just for the weekend.  Please, lol?  

Tell the whole truth and be accountable.  Have you worked your plan well this week?  Are you fired up with resolutions that will eventually fizzle or have you remembered this is a total life commitment we've gotten ouselves into?

I'm sure some others need to hear this too.  
 

Its uncomfortable to talk about your weight loss in relation to how far out you are.  Well of course it is when it means you must admit to your own short commings.  Please remember that those that loose it quickly and easily post wls did not necesarily stick to their programs either.  The weight does just fall off for some people in the begining.  The weight can come back on for ALL people in the long run if you don't eventually do the right thing.  No surgery is re gain proof.  How you handle your body is the key for every single wls patient in the universe.   

Be objective not subjective in evaluating your actions.  
Track your food intake and know what you really eat daily.  Use weights and measures and stop estimating your portions.  Plan a weekly workout routine that includes cardio, strength, and flexibility then do it.  Take all of your supplemnts every day.    Read the links below and see what a few others have done succesfully.  Evaluate how any ideas may work for you. 

Get actively involved with long term weight loss support: online, group meetings, surgeon's office, wls friends.  Just do something!  Stick to your schedule for follow up medical visits and ask for help to get and stay on track.

You will find it documented over and over.  Those with active support systems and good follow up care succeed after wls.  Those without it succeed less often.  Those who start off well then drop their follow up visits and support systems are the re gainers.  I won't quote statistics to you.  They are too easy to find online.

I was fine yesterday until late night when the munchie****  Its happening more and more.  I had an atkins bar which is equivalent to an ounce of nuts nutritionally but satisfies as though you ate twice that amount.  It was a carby day since I had a mid day meal of blueberry pancakes with sugar free syrup, no butter.  I ate most of a short stack.  No worries, it was planned in advance.

Water 16 oz plain and 80 oz liquids total, protein good, except for the late snack meals are on point, vits taken.  Calories up a little but still in range. 

Today I'm back to formal couting but I'm still working on appreciating the journey.  I'm cycling high for two days then Monday I'll be cutting the carbs back down.  This week has been a nice break from the protein foods.   I've missed the fruit & veg but Its hard to get he protein in.

 Well I have not been eat enough.  I have gone back into my old habits of not eating.  After calculating my calorie intake for the week M-F I may have gotten in 3000 grand total for the 5 days.  I however did get my protein in thru my shakes Muscle Milk, Boost and Special K.

Today I have started back taking my vitamins after over 6 months (holding my head down in shame).

        For being back on the vits.  Now go and eat something. 

We know by now that long term starvation harms your metabolism.  My mom told me that 30 years ago and I did not listen.  I'm paying for that now.

Yeah I know.  I have to get my meals in I am truly trying.  I know that if I don't eat the weight will stop coming off or in my case right now not start back coming off.  I need to get back to my support group but until the next meeting this site is going to have to due.

Thank you all it is helping me because I could be a lot worse off.

I did real good yesterday - had a brought in lunch for my team - did soup and salad from Olive Garden - did the smart thing and researched the nut before I ordered - ended up smartly changing my choice and avoided 120 extra calories.  For anyone curious - the Zuppa Toscana soup is OFF THA CHAIN!!!! lol

It's still cold than a mudda*****a - and I take 'off' on the weekend from the gym anyway - 5 days during the week is quite enough!  LOL  But I am not going to act an ass because I am in the house all day - will get in my gallon of decaf iced tea and maintain my control.  I'm actually about to spend the next hour or so cleaning house and clearing out the fridge. 

I also took my measurements this morning for the first time in a long time.  With the scale not really moving, I need to track something else so that I know SOMETHING is, indeed, happening with all this exercise and effort I am putting in. 

Anyhoo - need to go take my vitamins - I haven't made my pill box for the week, so I forgot them - THANKS for the post which is my reminder!!!! 

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

When the scale is insulting me the tape measure gets me through it.  Thank God the inches still come off.

Why was I able to eat almost all of the breakfast sampler at IHOP last night after the Rickey Smiley show which was around 11:00 p.m?  

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

It seems like the more I eat, the more I can eat. 

I did IHOP yesterday too but orderd two pancakes and one piece of Canadian bacon to keep me from dumping.  I ate three quarters of it.  If I'd ordered a sampler I'd have had three quaters of that too.

I did good yesterday...no complaints at all. Did not go out for dinner as expected. Came home and had a bowl of cottage cheese and peaches with splenda.  Has a little more later for a snack.  I know I did not get in all my H20...about 50 ounces at most.   I wish I was not so obsessed with the scale BUT I got on this am...read 216. I know that I will get to a stall eventually so I need to not weigh myself everyday.

Plan for today:

Vitamins and supps already down

B - Had a scrambled egg, a light yogurt and a stick of Mozzarella Cheese

S - None

L - Had a Healthy Choice Meatloaf meal...I did not realize it had so many carbs...I picked them up up too quickly....will finish the other two over the next two days and leave any pre=prepared stuff alone,

S- Tangerine

D- Homemade Chili or Taco Salad..minus tortillas for me was the plan but I ended up eating 4 sticks of Mozzarella Cheese, few table spoons of Cottage Cheese and  Fruit ****tail

S- Stick of Mozarella, Tangerine

Exercise - 60 minutes of active exercise...my choice at the Rec center...need to stay at target heart rate at least 30 of those minutes was the plan BUT we ended up at the Mall.  I did get beautiful coats on sale for my daughters and I. hehehehe  I really am not trying to play games but I figure...right now eating right is my focus...I am going to let the exercise kick in full force when I feel inspired.  Dont want to keep dwelling on the things I am doing wrong. I know what I need to do. When my losing stops...I know exercise will not be an option.  I am just being honest with myself.  I know I keep talking about my play list...well before I get off of this computer today...I am going to have my playlist together...OR I have to make a separate post giving myself a great big F for procrastination and poor follow through.  

I am feeling better each and every day....feeling stronger.AND toward the end of my day yesterday...I felt great!!!
