Brag on it, talk about it, encourage someone/yourself!
Howdy Folks!
This post is to encourage others and ourselves about the little things that we can accomplish now that we've had WLS!
Tomorrow I will be hosting my kids second "snowball fight". My kids have been anxiously awaiting enough snow to have a family snowball fight! We went out this morning with our rulers and measured 6" in our backyard from the snow fall last night. Last year my children woke up and decided to call of their aunts/uncles to play with them in the snow. It started off as a joke but who could turn down 2 5-year old kids wanting to have some good innocent fun?
I did not participate much because I was out of breath and running around the back yard was not an option for me. Tomorrow......it's on like pop corn...........we are going to make our own Frosty and snow angels and for that I am thankful for WLS.
THE JEANS ARE A 16 AND THE SHIRT A 1X SO I'M DOING MY HAPPY DANCE...NOW TO GET THESE HARD AS HELL 35 LBS OFF!
HAPPY SNOW DAY WITH YOUR BABIES!

And Congratulations to everyone for this weeks victories. I'm luv'n this thread cause it made me remember something good did happen this week. I tend to frget my nsv's.
One tiny victory this week to curtail my constant whining. I bought leggins in the junior miss depatment and a sweatshirt in size S(2/4). Its a Hanes. At one time I wore a 2XL in Hanes sweats but now I'm a small in both tops and bottoms. I tried on every color and every style, lol. I'll be trying on juniors clothes everywhere too from now on just to see if they fit.
I also cleared my closet of almost everything over size four because they no longer fit well. Just two size ten dresses left and some sweaters I don't have the $$$ to replace. I will make it into those skinny jeans before the winter is out. Size two I am comming for you.
Who'd a thought? Despite my insesant whining I was hoping to be a size 12/10 by one year out. Look how far I've come from my size 20 years ago. I've still got nearly three inches to get off this waistline, but these single digits are blowing my mind.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
Hi Talisha
Yes! I do want to offer some encouragement to people who are struggling with getting their exercise in.
I had my surgery in 2003 and was at the same weight for awhile due to my inconsistent habits (both food and exercise) But I am losing again because I decided to stop trying (and failing) to be a gym person... I went back to an old stand-by--Jazzercise and it is really working for me. I have lost a few pounds, but LOTS of inches. People are asking me almost every day what I am doing. So if you like to dance, check in your area for a Jazzercise class. It includes a warm-up, about 35 min of cardio, working with weights, ab and lower-body work and a cool-down. The music is somewhat corny (mostly pop with some r&b) but it is fun and a real, serious workout.
