OT: Never look a gift horse in the mouf.......

Ummmm – you know how you sometimes see those questions of ‘What would you do in this situation?"  and then the question is something like – if you see a bag of money fall off an armor car truck, would you take it?  But then the next one is if a man dropped his wallet, would you return it?

 

Typically folk take the bag of money off the truck, but give the wallet back to the man.

 

Welll, ummm – what had happen to me wuz……. I went to the ATM today to get cash to pay my hair stylist this evening – pressed $40, $60 came out.  I’ve had issue with this ATM before where it didn’t give me any money – but the machine corrected itself and put the money back in my account, so no harm no foul.  Well – I figured it would correct itself but ummmmm

 

I just checked my account and only $40 is out of it……. So ummm – am I wrong for thinking God decided to bless me with a 1.75liter bottle of Evan Williams cause he saw last night I’m running low and the bottle is $19.99 at my favorite liquor store???????

I say,

What are you gonna do, really?  Go to the bank connected with the atm and tell them this long drawn out story that they may or may not investigate.  The only thing you'll be doing is making that bank employee 20 blickys richer......cheers.....cassum?

shoootttt - I'll be at the likka sto RIGHT after work...... heck, I had to remember not to look real surprised and happy - in CASE they look at the camera feed later...... LOL!!!!

The bank will look for an error report when the machine is reconciled for the day.  Even if the report says it dispensed an extra bill, unless they show you clearly holding exta cash on camera you'd likely win this battle if they charge back your account. 

Its been 25+ years, but balancing those machines is very simple.  If the bills were stuck together the machine would show no extras dispensed and may not even record an error.  Consider it a thank you for your patronage. 

Hmmm - I'm thinking it won't show because before, the machine did the adjustment that very moment - I've checked my account three times today - nothing. 

Imma chalk this one up - and I did NOT grin up in the camera, I did a QUICK fold as soon as I saw there were 3 and not just 2 bills......
