Frugal Tips for Today

K, this is a reminder: If you have a Schnucks they have Cream of Wheat on sale through this month for $2.00. YMMV.  They also have a special display box for the cereal that has $2.00 off coupons, so all you pay is tax (2 cents in my area).  Let your concencience be your guide in how many you take.   Me, I had no issue in taking all remaining 24 & calling my sister to go grab all that was in her area, as we'll be using them for registration bags for our family reunion!

If you have a Dollar General, they have near their registers w/their ads a coupon flyer that has a $1.00 off carefree products.  The pantiliners are a $1.00, thus pantiliners would be tax only.  There is no limit...so guess what else is going in our registration bags?

When you are out and about, keep your eyes peeled for manufacturer's coupons in the "blinkie" machines are on the items themselves.   Gather them up, as guaranteed somebody will have that product on sale in the future.


If you have a CVS in your area, they have glade scented oil refils 2/5.00.  This is YMMV, but on the french vanilla refills, there should be a $2.00 coupon, which would make it 2/$1.00.

When is the reunion? Cereal expires pretty quickly?

The end of June.  The cereal's "best by" date is in feb/11.  Wasn't worried about the cereal, was more concerned about  the soda.  I got most of our soda from Target last month, which ended up costing $1.33  a (12 can) case w/coupons, but some flavors "best by" dates only went as far as feb or march.
