I am working on my relationship with food and I finally am emotionally ready to continue my journey.  With that said my company will be providing free lunch & dinner for employees for the next week & ½ so I have to choose what I am going to eat wisely.  I also went out to dinner for my sister’s birthday last night. But I did pretty well despite these things.  I think that I did pretty well because I chose healthier snacks because I knew that I was going to be hungry before I made it to the restaurant.

B – 1 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch Honey Almond Flax Cereal
1 cup of Silk Light Soymilk
8oz of SF Hawaiian Punch Lemon Berry Squeeze (Singles to go)

L – 3 ½ slices of Roast beef
1 cup of sautéed green string beans w/ garlic & carrots

4 medium pieces of red roasted potatoes

      16oz of water

S – 1 stick of Cracker Barrel 2% Cheddar Cheese
1 bag of Baked Soy Protein Chips by Revival

D – 4 Grilled shrimp stuffed w/ crabmeat
1 cup of sautéed green string beans w/ garlic & carrots

1 mini glass of Eggnog spice cake (I felt sick after eating this so soon after my meal plus I’m sure the sugar didn’t help)

S – 1 serving of Wasabi Wow Trail mix from Trader Joe’s
8oz of SF Crystal Light Fruit Punch

The restaurant that we went to (Seasons 52) was nice but the food was pretty bland. That meal wasn’t worth the calories. I would have sent it back but because it was my sister’s birthday I didn’t want to ruin her night. She already complains about me sending food back.

If memory serves correct, you managed to drop your calories despite eating out.  Three meals & two snacks are not bad.  Are you tracking your water yet?  What about vits?

I know folks tire of our special needs, but as long as you're polite I say just let others deal with it.  IMHO, why waste calories on food thats not satisfying?  This wls thing is our little red wagon to pull and all others are observers only.  With a small pouch we don't get much.  I say savor what you fill it with.

Yes, I did manage to drop my calories even though I ate out.  I just decided to make wiser choices.  Yes, I am tracking my water it is included in my post: water, Crystal light, Hawaiian punch is all mixed with water.  I get all of my vits in, this is one thing that I have gotten in the habit of doing daily.

I was always very particular with what I eat even before RNY.  Now it’s even deeper, however, they just don’t like me to send anything back because they say that the wait staff doesn’t like it and that they can do something to our food.  But you are correct that is just an issue that they have to deal with when they go out with me.  I was just doing it that one night for my sister only because it was her birthday and now I know not to eat there ever again.

My bad, didn't realize all your liquids were listed.  I hear you on the wait staff.  Manners is key when rejecting your meal.  Eating out is a leap of faith.

WOW! I love some of your food choices. I might have to bootleg a couple! Please post as much as you can. I would love to see your menus. Sounds like you are planning nicely.  I know oh so well about the food on the job.  We are getting ready to crank up for the Spring semester and with that comes all kinds of seminars that our office coordinates...food galore. I am going to plan for these blind sights as well...they won't catch me off guard.
