Accountability Mission: No Mercy and No Excuses

Sorry so late.  Either my internet connection is frustratingly slow or OH is just not acting right this morning.

January 6, Epiphany, the three kings have arrived at the manger.  Have you cleared the pantry and the freezer yet?  If you are among those that celebrates through today then tonight's the night.  For everyone else it should already be done.  Tell the whole truth and be accountable.  Is temptation still lurking in your home?

Checking in and my mind is telling me to keep it simple...I am staying with my meal plan until I get tired of it....just like with the cows....I don't need too many choices right now...eating for nourishment not pleasure. I need to get into a solid regimen of no indulgence. Based on my past history...once I do this I am set for at least 3 months before I will need to be mindful of relapse... I will allow myself one (1) indulgence on the weekend (M&M or some other sweet with protein content...LOL!) :

Keeping my eye on 40 pounds by 5/24/10. Goal 180

Plan for Yesterday and Outcomes

Breakfast: I scarmbled egg, 1 turkey sausage patty, 3 slices of peach, 2 table spoons of cottage cheese ,   Supps, H20  Completed

Snack: Protein Drink - Completed

Lunch: Wendy's Chili -  Completed ...large chili and med light lemonade

Snack: Protein Drink - skipped

Dinner: Grilled Chicken Salad - I did buy chicken and lettuce but opted for bowl of cottage cheese with peaches, splenda

Snack: Protein Drink or Protein Bar - had 2 servings of cheese

80 oz of H20 ...Competed

Will not succumb to cravings...I did not crave or even feel tempted

Must savor every bit when eating...I did savor

Exercise: 45-60 minutes minimum on Wii Fitness. Will push myself to go longer. Need a target heart rate between 153-163 for aerobic conditioning based on my resting heart rate of 84.

I did not exercise....

Will go buy a heart rate monitor after work.  I did purchase heart monitor for $80 at Dicks and by the time I set the thing up...I was not feeling like exercise. I figured I am setting the stage. No excuses tonight!

Plan for Today:

1200 calories

Breakfast: I scarmbled egg, 1 turkey sausage patty, supps and Hzo

Snack: Protein Drink or Bar

Lunch: Wendy's Chili

Snack: Protein Drink

Dinner: Grilled Chicken Salad or Bullet

80 oz of H20

Will not succumb to cravings...they are detrimental to my goal. Will log in here and report feelings to overcome.

Must savor every bit when eating...chew chew chew to get the full flavor and full filling.

Exercise: 45-60 minutes minimum on Wii Fitness. Will push myself to go longer. Need a target heart rate between 153-163 for aerobic conditioning based on my resting heart rate of 84.

Loving the detailed plans.  Now today you've got to rock that wii.

I like the weekly treat idea too.  I allow myself one sweet treat and one salt treat a few times a month.  Now that I've found much lower calorie alternatives, maybe I can have a treat each week.

You are rocking those early mornings while I've been a slacker.  I got up grabbed my first pint of water and went back to bed.  You are on point today.  Should I ever decide to grow up I want to be just like you.

I waited too late yesterday to start back on my pills so I resumed today. I have been eating what I want just not much.  I have not been drinking any water just diet sodas so I am removing myself from the three a day habit that I have been drinking and replacing with water and crystal light or a no calorie/carb drink.

It is Mardi Gras season here and this is my first time officially going to and being apart of the local galas/parades/parties.  There will be festivities beginning on Saturday through my birthday/Mardi Gras  on February 16th  that will "require" that I eat, drink and be merry.  However,  I will try not to do what I did on New Year's night...I had way too much to drink.  I have all this going on and I still want to make it to goal either by my 3rd bandiversary or my 40th birthday!

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

I pay calories forward in workouts and cutting back whenever I have a big eating day planned.  What I call big eating is anything where I can't control the ingredients so the calorie count is much higher than if I had the same thing at  home.   May be that will help you?

I wanted goal by my birthday which is just two weeks before my surgiversary.  Not going to happen for me in three weeks but you've got time.  You can do this.

Good luck with the water.  I know that's a tough one for you.

You have a face!! I love the new Avie!

I'm doing OK today. Went in to see my doctor and we had a good conversation. I basically need to workout for at least 6 hours a week and make sure I get my water in. It's time to get back to the basics.......I need to watch my carbs and get my head in the game and I'm up for the challenge!! I'll try to get in some light weight lifting tonight; I need to do more reps. My arms are getting pretty flabby these days. Do you have any suggestions?

Yesterday was ok.  Mostly produce except for a slice of meatloaf, some microwave popcorn (100 cal), and mini potato rolls (45 cal).  Eating mostly veg brings the carbs up naturally so the bread and popcorn were no issue.  However, they were not planned and despite the lower cal veggies I don't want to get into the spontaneous carb habit.  They have been eliminated from my home.

I'm re working my weight  routine and as hard as it is I have not recorded my calorie burn.  I've started working the chest weeks ago and I'm seeing good results.  I want to work on the back, hamstrings and glutes as well.  I can actually flex my pecs now.  To bad the boobs are around my waist instead of under the pecs, lol.  They have less of a deflated look and hopefully they will eventually look forward instead of down despite being at my waist.

Today has been good so far.  A quart of plain water down.  Veg with a little protein for breakfast and lunch and a scoop of protein powder.  Vits, halfway there.

The scale is down 0.4 lbs but that leaves me still up 4.6 lbs.  Nevertheless, I've decided to add insult to injury and lower my goal another nine pounds.  I wanted to get five pounds below goal for some cushion and its only four more pounds to my 'medically ideal' weight,  Given how easily I gain I think a nine pound cushion  is better.
