SELMA, Ind. — Police say a fifth-grader handed out about $300 to others on the bus ride to his eastern Indiana school. Problem is, they say, the cash was among some $10,000 he took from his grandparents’ safe.

Delaware County Sheriff George Sheridan says the boy was riding the bus to Selma Elementary School when he handed out the money on Friday, the last school day before Christmas vacation began.

Children *****ceived the ones, fives and twenties told teachers and the principal, and the sheriff’s department was called.

Officers found the boy carrying the rest of the cash, which was returned to his grandparents. Police weren’t certain what he intended to do with the money or how he got it from the safe.

yes indeed.  I think he took that robin hood tale to the extreme or was he trying to be Santa.

I know...right....I think it was kind of cool that the kids did not take the money and run!!!

Or he's putting in force "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".  I think brotha man was just "sowing seed" for his "harvest"!   

LOL!...who you telling BUT I bet those kids will be keeping a close check on their lunch money when they see his azz coming.

Naw, his books are allready prepared & he's gonna hit them up after they've all graduated from college & making $$, win the lotto, get insurance money.... then he's going to go collect his "harvest"!

       That kid could have been me 'cept no one had ten grand cash at my house.   I had no concept of money and was pretty much a space cadet 'till about the fourth grade when someone cut my lights on.  I gave away my milk money in kindergarden when teacher told me milk was free. Think what I could have done with 10K! 

Awww....you brought back a memory of Kindergarten.... We used to have to wheel this wagon around to the cafeteria to get milk for our class to go with our graham crackers   ~NOW YOU KNOW I WAS HOT RIGHT....dayum milk and graham crackers....even as a kid...I would have preferred some collard greens and hamhocks.
