FRIED WINGS.....
Hi OH fam,
I need to vent!
Over the holidays I’ve been HORRIBLE with my eating. I’ve attended several parties and had a great time with friends and family… but the food! OMG! I make it a point to stick to protein rich foods no matter what! I looked for the protein and the best I could find was chicken. (Which I absolutely love by the way!
) Well, they had chicken wings, and I know it’s not ideal but it’s better than no protein at all! (I don’t eat red meat or seafood) Here’s the problem, they were FRIED chicken wings. I was scared when I tried the first one but once I realized I was fine, I had more. By the end of the night I’d eaten 4! (Not whole wings more like wing dings) I have been eating wings since Christmas! I even bought some of my own. I can eat about 3 at a time but they are sooooo gooood
Well, now I’m starting to feel bad. I know I have no business eating fried chicken wings. The thing is, I don’t remember a time when I felt this good. I have actually been getting in my protein grams (I can’t stomach shakes and milk products since I’m lactose intolerant) and the scale is moving in my favor! FINALLY!!!! I am happy about the progress I’m making but scared that I’ve setting myself up for failure. I’ve heard about regain and how important it is to create healthy eating habits now. I don’t eat sugar, or starches, nor do I drink with meals. I’d say I’m on track except the fried chicken wing thing.
Anyway, I just wanted to vent. I feel really bad and I know I have to stop this before it gets out of control. *sigh* Whew….
There I said it. Thanks for listening

Congrats on your progress thus far...For the first 6-7 months I was to a T with damn near everything but after that I expiremented a little but nothing that I was ashamed of...I do not buy wings or cook them myself but if someone else does I may have 1 whole wing or two wing dings...I would not make it a habit and will try to lay off...Wings are not the worse things you could have but try to eat it in moderation...Good luck with your journey.

Bake the wings yourself on a rack in a slow oven. They'll be tender and the skin crispier and drier than in a pan. Season as you would fried wings. Same flavor without the flour/ breading or extra fat from frying.

Don't beat yourself up over wings!!! I had wings from wingstop twice over the holidays. First lemon pepper and the garlic parmesan. They were naked of course! But, I noticed that the lemon pepper were too greasy and did not sit well so i stopped eating them. Garlic flavored was ok. Remember, it's about the "right" choice! Protien all the way!!
