Never doubt online dating - I found my prince there and I cried when I got my white diamond ring

Good morning,
I just thought I would share my joy! I used to post about my Match.com dating adventures 2-3 years ago, I used to be a regular poster here giving support to newbies and oldies too! But I have found the love of my life so I don't have that much time to post as I used to, but I try to give back when I can.
I had many friends here that used to love to hear about my updates and some enemies that hated my updates too . The reason I am posting this is to let those who are in the online dating arena don't give up! My girlfriend told me only the desperate do online dating -- "whatever" -- I told her only the desperate hang out in night clubs seeking a husband! It took me 3 years and about 250 dates to weed through all the slicks, deadbeats, and non-commitment guys to finally find my true prince in shining Armour.
Yes they do exist! I just wanted to share my joy of happiness when he gave me a white gold engagement ring with emeralds that was passed down as a family heirloom ! I cried because I have never been treated so special by a man in my entire life He is so special to me and I thought I would share my joy!
Happy belated New Year to all ~~ my band has been really good to me too!

Hi Naomi,
Congratulations! Sounds like you got a real winner
this time. I have been trying to get my cousin and
one of my best friends to try online dating but they are
both so against it. I told them they insist on using a
horse and buggy in a day of jet engines. lol If I were
single I would certainly give it a try.
*** it was originally purchased back in the 1940s and it is as shiny as it was back then ***
Your heirloom ring is a beauty. It has stood the test of time
and I am sure has weathered many storms and still it
comes out beatiful, shiny and more valuable than before.
May your life and marriage be just as strong and lasting as
your lovely ring.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful post! I am truly blessed right now and humbled, yes it was purchased over 70 years ago and still shining, I cried like a baby when he put it on my finger! Tell your cousin don't knock online dating at least you can see right away every thing you need to know about a man in about 5 minutes to see if you want to go out with him...but in person you really don't know what you are getting, at least online dating give you the opportunity to "weed out" certain guys if they are separated, got kids, job, income level and their hobbies and what they like to do, this give you an idea if you are really compatible...but if you meet someone on the "club" you have NO idea where they work, if they have a job...some people are scared of online dating because there is the "fear" factor of what if he is some serial killer hiding something...but you can get that anywhere....
Also I am over 40 years old and I DO NOT want to go club hopping seeking a mate, most of the "GOOD" single men my age in their 40s are probably not going to be in a club and also online dating gives you more of a broad spectrum to choose from....if there are not that many men available that is close by -- you can also find a good man in another state...so I def recommend online dating..but you have to have patience to weed out all the bad apples coz there are a lot of guys do online dating and like to prey on women..but there are a lot of success stories....thanks again.
