Two questions: Q1 - Vitamins; Q2 - Hair trouble
Vitamins - Are any vitamins easily found at a local drug store sufficient for us post ops?
I'm trying to settle on a brand that I don't have to order online or buy at a medical office. What do you take if you do not use a bariatric formula? Brand, formulation, chewable vs other? I'd especially like to here from anyone whoose labs have improved on what they curently use. My labs tanked on centrium womens but they were not chewable.
Hair - What causes breakage when you basically just wash and wear?
Biotin has all but stopped the hair thining but recently I've noticed breakage on the edges. This is highly unusual for me. I'm natural, rarely ever flat iron, but I do color every other month. No lift, just covering the gray.
I don't even comb or brush the edges, front or back except when conditioning. After rinsing the conditioner out I smooth all edges with my hands only, then style the rest.
Anytime I have hairloss its always been from the scalp. Breakage has occured only if I've been using heat or chemicals regularly. Could this be nutritional even though I get about 100g protein daily, take biotin 4x a day, and a super b complex?

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I get my vitamins from GNC or Vitamin Shoppe.
On the hair breakage is it time for you to get your ends trimmed. I know this happens to me when it gets close to that trim time. I also take Biotin and I use NEXUSS shampoo, conditioner, and emergencee. It works great on stopping hair breakage.

I am due for a trim. I though it might be that but my ends are not split or rough. I just have short hairs along the hairline and it looks thinner to me. My hair has never been thick a day in my life so you can always see a little scalp. These short hairs are like its broken off in the middle not at the ends??? Or could it be re growth of hair that fell out a few months back??? I have nearly no hair in the drain anymore.
Exactly which vitamins do you take from each store? I've been to GNC and to Vitamine Shoppe (my favorite). I am un sure about which formula's are best absorbed post op.
How are your labs? The only non bariatric formulas I'm certain about are calcium citrate and elemental iron. I need a good iron free multi, antioxidant (a,e,c,k), b complex including b12.

AT GNC I take the Solotron which is an awesome multi vitamin or the Women's complete. I get their brand on B-12 and Calcium and I have had no problem so far. I am due to go and have my labs done. But the last time I was checked which was about a year ago they were fine.
No sure of the brand name from Vitamin Shoppe when I ran out I just went to GNC becausr it was closer at the time.
