Prayers Needed...

Hey BAF Fam,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have enjoyed the past few days of celebrating what God has in store for me and my family...

And then I received news...

My girlfriend, one of the REALEST, CRAZIEST folk you could meet, a chic with such a huge smile, a chic with such a huge laugh and zest for life...

My friend, Vanessa L. Cosby...is now laughing in Heaven...with the Angels.

Vanessa was found deceased earlier today...2 days after being in worship, bringing in the New Year giving honor and praise to God...and thanking Him for another year.  Although she did usher in the New Year, she no longer lives in this new year...and my heart is EXTREMELY heavy.

Here is her last Facebook status, written on Wednesday night:

"Faith will conquer EVERYTHING..."

I trust in my faith in God, knowing that joy will come in the morning.  Please keep her mother in prayers...anyone in the Houston area, please pray for her brother, Rev. Marcus Cosby, Pastor of Wheeler Avenue Church.

My prayers go out to you and the family members of your friend. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. It's a blessing to hear that your friend knew God. That she accepted him and loved Him. Praise God.

Hey Trina - thanks...I'm telling you this one is a HUGE loss...and our church family is absolutely devastated...and in shock. 

I'm heading out for a few drinks with some of my friends - we already planned to go, but with her death we all need to get out; so, we're going through with the plans.

Donna, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your great friend and this mighty woman of God.  Even though we celebrate her going home, it is those left behind that will miss her so.  I am lifting you and her family and all who where blessed by her amazing spirit in prayer!
