Dang.... glad you and your family are okay.  And yeah, don't feel too much pitty for the drunk guy, but I guess I hope he turns out okay too.

Thanks Echo! I am feeling so blessed ....sometimes things happen that let us know...that we really should be grateful everyday for who and what we have in our lives.

Lis i'm just dittoing everybody else.  Glad that you and the girls are fine.  What's the saying? God protects drunks, fools and babies?   3 for 3 right there.  crazy.    the thing the paramedic said - i've heard that before - something about being drunk enough that it *dulls* the senses and lowers your defense mechanism (like he'd a been effed up if he had had the presence of mind to brace/tense his body) you know how when you hear about drunk driver tragedies, errybody in the accident is hurt....except the drunk driver.   rambling, point is i'm happy you're still here and in one piece.

Thanks so much Marlo....I was trying to figure it out. I thought the paramedics comments had something to do with his bleeding and alcohol having an impact in that regard but then I am thinking alcohol has more of a blood thinning effect so I was thinking that it would make him bleed more. What you said make much more sense than what I was thinking...thanks for that...cuz my mind was at a quandary.  Yes...the girls are just fine...and I am doing much better also.

If you and your daughter have not seen Alvin the Squeakquel...you need to check it out. This helped get us over the hump... We laughed so much...Its such a cute cartoon movie.

Gurl....that was a crazy scene! Everybody and their mama showed up but the ambulance was dead last getting there. I am so glad that the man started to stir and come around. He was complaining about his neck and back but was still trying to move and get up...to no avail.  Of course we won't get much info from the hospital but no news is good news at this point.

Yes...we all are okay.

You gotta watchout for the idiots too while driving, sending prayers your way! A lady hit my car too right before the big snow storm so nowadays you have to drive for yourself and other folks too

Thank Naomi! I tell you though...the last place that I would expect for a person to try to cross traffic is in the corner of an exit ramp...he must have been leaving from under the overpass or something....but I tell you...I am going to creep around those things from now on....just never know.
