Keeping my eye on the 40 by 5/24/2010
Okay so we are headed to New Orleans:
I am not going to kid myself....I will be in the FOOD capital of AMERICA. My goal is to eat healthy,,,make healthy choices. If I indulge....I will do it modestly.
I know that these posts are not going to have much substance between now and the New Year because quite frankly....it is much harder to hold myself accountable while I am on vacation.
Between rushing around here and there...its difficult for me to find the time to make a significant indepth post. Rather than put these posts off until after the New Year, I figure it better to just keep at it because it will be that much harder to start up again.
I really want to make my goal. After January 1, I can get into a serious regimen. To try to think or do otherwise might be setting myself up now. I don't like feeling like a failure...that usually starts a cycle of self loathing and eating inappropriately to cope with the feeling.
I would rather say...use moderation and leave it at that.
Goal for today is 80 oz of water
Choose and eat protein foods first...back that up with green vegetables next. Anything else will be considered an indulgence. I need to be mindful NOT to over indulge. Don't set myself up by buying a huge portion of anything. Share a dessert with the girls..instead of buying three..etc.. etc...
Its late...have not had breakfast yet. Will take my supps, H20, and eat a protein bar.
I will post later once in New Orleans AND will also finish my post from yesterday.

Great idea not to put off posting. Waiting leaves too much wiggle room. That's committment.
