Weight Stall~~!
Hi Olga,
Stalls are pretty common place. Just keep in mind that your body is needing to readjust periodically. Some say increasing your protein & water help to get over the hump, some say increasing your excercise regimen also helps. Can't avoid it, just go with the flow & know that you'll see the scale move eventually. This is common place for me. One thing that helps, is if you don't see it in pounds, you will see it in inches.
Body Fortress is my protein of choice. It's about $15 at Walmart, has no aftertaste. I've only used the vanilla & chocolate, though they have strawberry, banana & cookies & cream. 1 serving of 2 scoops is 52 grams of protein. I use milk as my base to add additional protein & then mix it with hot cocoa, decaf coffee or the vanilla w/OJ.

Good Morning Chi Fox,
Ya'll still getting hammered up there? we've gotten a couple inches & it's still coming down steady, but we had a lot of rain before that, so it's pretty icy in spots. My cousin's son lives there. He had to work Christmas & was upset that his mama told him not to come down because it was getting bad down here. He didn't realize how bad it was there until he got out to his car.
I was using the GNC products before & imo this is way better, way cheaper, no aftertaste & I don't think it smells. Target has the body fortress as well, which I didn't know. They have it in their ad today & it's the same price as walmart.

You've given mostly great advice...however I'd cut that protien in half if I were you. With our absorption after surgery, anything over 30 grams of protein at any one time turns it into something bad for your body...here is a link. http://www.enotalone.com/article/5804.html

Olga, We are are in the same boat. My surgery was also 11/16/09. I've lost 42lbs since then and can not tolerate those protein shakes. Now is the time to start walking more or possibly working out. My surgeon sugessted that I add Fish and seafood to my diet. which is very high in protein. You should be on soft diet by now, so try tuna with light mayo and relish, try baked fish and crab meat. let me know how it works out.
