So after trials, tribulations, and me losing every single ounce of patients I have....I have finally got a date and a for-sure approval. January 29th 2010 will be the the day I take this young body of mine into the repair shop to have my wonderful DS installed.

Bye Bye FAT BOY!!! Oh Thank Heaven!!!

Oh so for the vets...how much weight do you think I will lose by May 30th?

Congrats !!!! My advice is to follow your dr's plan and the weight will melt and usually men lose faster than women. Enjoy your journey on the loser's bench.

As far as how much you will loose in the beginning do not put any limits on yourself it will drive you out of your mind. Just follow what your Dr has planed for you and let the weight cone off as it will. You will be going though all kids of different emotions and trust me the scale will become your enemy. Just take each day one at a time and welcome to the losing team.

Have you talked to Brok (apologize)? You and him are about the same age and height and he had the DS also. he is usually on the DS forum. Men your age and height do very well with the DS. I would not be surprised if you lose 100+ by May. Especially if you get back to your exercise regime. I was a revision to the Ds and I am 54 years old. I have lost 131 lbs in 10 months. I know you will greatly exceed that. By the way...we will be "switch"twins. My surgiversary is 1/29.
I know you will succeed with the grace of God. Merry christmas and a blessed miraculous beginning to your "new Year". there is room for you next to me on the losers bench since I done lost a whole person. LOL
