I'll be doing cardio today...........all cardio. I plan to up my protein intake. Also, I'm going to schedule an appointment with my NUT. I want see how many calories I should intake daily and start tracking that as well. I don't have a problem getting in my water so I'll load up on that as well!

I'm tired of whining so I'm getting my butt into gear! Morning work-outs really work for me so I'll try to get back in that groove again. I would like to drop 25 pounds by February and believe I can do it! Also, I'm going to find a personal trainer.

Tracking makes all the difference.  No guess work.  You know exactly how well or how poorly you're doing.

Good move with the morning workouts.  It really gets the metabolism going.

Hey guys,
Had surgery 8/25/09 doing pretty good but I have the pouch that can tolerate everything.  Which I guess should be considered good but for not so much for me.  So I'm getting back on the wagon I'm not completely off but I'm hangin and it's draggin me around.  Ms.  Faith what do you mean by assistance and how can I get some.  Any other suggestions would be great here's my eats so far for today 1/2 cup grits with cheese 2 hard boiled egg whites 1 fried chicken wing . ..I know I know some dream fields pasta and cheese and a green apple and cream cheese.  My proteins low I think I'll have some fish for dinner and pro shake for late night snack.  I'm at about 64 ozs already for the day of fluid and I've been exercising at least 4 times a week cardio and strength training the scale is not moving it's been like 3 to 4 weeks.  I started at 338 at the beginning of pre-op liquid diet today 259.  I have at least another 60-80 pounds to go what's the problem.  Please help!

Imma jump in for Faith on this one (sorry cuz, cuss me if you want to) but being only 4 months out - you don't need anymore assistance than what you got when you got cut.

The assistance she's referring to is for those 2+ years out that are falling off, having trouble regaining control - it's diet pills.  And you have NO NEED for them at this point.  I take them too - am 4+ years out and need to shave off 15lbs.  We take the pills at THIS point because we don't have the tool working like it did at the point YOU'RE at right now.

From what I see - you're doing just fine and need to SLOW DOWN YOUR EXPECTATIONS.  Did one cheeseburger land you at 338?  ok then - one cheese stick ain't gon get you to goal.

Why aren't you doing protein shakes during the day?  and where's your veggies?  should be green and leafy - cabbage, greens, salad - take it slow.  But you need to amp up the protein if you're going to work out that hard.  That's why the scale is stuck - you're not feeding your body enough and you're working the hell out of it.  And 64 oz of water is good - 80 is better.  When I did my max loss times, I was on 80/80s - 80g of protein, 80oz of water and exercise like I was getting paid to do it!  LOL

Stick to the basics, babe - TRUST and believe you will come to a time when it ain't this easy, and if you don't master the basics - you will have PLENTY trouble later......

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

Thanks MM I appreciate your input and advice.  I'm going to try the 80/80 plan and see if that keeps things moving consistently.  I do struggle quite a bit with protein.  Leafy greens I'm working on I prefer fruit.  I get so frustrated that things are moving slowly right now but I'm thankful for how far I've come.  So here's my question why do you guys need assistance do you go back to normal ( pre-op) the farther out you get.  I don't want to have to rely on that  2 or 3 yrs down the line I've already been down that road.  Is there anyway to prevent this from happening later. Anything you wish you had of done as an early post-op to prepare you for now.  Thanks again for your feedback.

Glad you see Ms MM's point.

At less than a year out the only reason I even consider assistance is because I am a metablic problem child.   I gain weigh despite maintaining a consistant calorie deficit.  Even so, I would not want diet pills this early out.  I was thinking about the b-12 shots only.

Many of us have metabolic issues that make maintenance tough.  The best way to ensure not needing pills later on is to work the hell out of your tool now.  Then, refuse to allow any future regain to stick.  Not even for a little while.  I'm far from maintenance but these BAF people have taught me well.

Get the protein and water up.  You've got everything you need.

Hey MSW!

Merry Christmas! I feel so good about starting my accountability post. Thanks for the idea. It is helping me beyond measure. Helping me to keep my mind right. It something that I can own...both the good with the bad.

I know about the Holiday treats being so tempting....sometimes it helps to have a equally satisfying treat on hand. I think the SF Cookies were a good fall back when you think about all the other junk you could have had.

Keep up the great work!!! Enjoy your holiday!
