Light weight vs Heavy weight Post-ops

Yet another reason not to compare yourself to another person.  We all started out at different weights, heights, cir****tance etc.  It does not matter if you started this journey at 215 or 515 I can guarantee your progress will be different then others.  I have not even wrap my head around what has happened to me so far so why am I comparing my results to others.  Someone will always seem like they are losing faster than you are and slower. No one could not have told me this time last year I would still be this close to 250lbs. That is why comparing yourself to other close to your weight, height etc does not work. There is no way John or Jane can tell you where you should be at in your journey there are only expectations and this journey will teach you things do not always happen the way you think they should.  For example some meet there goals after only a few short months and others it took years for them to find what works and stick with it.  So take it a day at a time and do the best you can.  If you fall off your healthy routine Monday that does not mean Tuesday has to be the same way.  Focus on you and doing what is best for you.  Move to lose, take your vitamins, drink your water, get your protein in and just trying to make balanced decisions.  Sacrifice sometimes helps you get to and maintain your healthy lifestyle.  I had to share what has cause me unnecessary heartache I hope you can spare your self some of the BS I put myself through. Now back to your regular scheduled programing.

Thanks so much for your words of wisdom.  My sister in law had RNY about 6 months ago and has gone from fat to skinny.  I am a smaller fat.  She looks good and the some wonder why I haven't gotten skinny.  I had even begun to wonder.  True she is 16 years younger than me and has not had any children.  However she is cool and never asks stupid questions.   It's funny that now my inlaws think wls is the greatest thing since carbs and know everything that I need to do.
Yes, your post will spare me some of the stuff I had been doing to myself.

This was so needed for me today; I was 2 pounds away from losing 100 pounds and couldn't reach it and became very discouraged. I totally feel what you were saying in this post!

Thank you for sharing!

This was so needed for me today.  Not that I am unsatisfied with my journey ~ I do find myself wondering if I should be further along.

Thanks again for this post.

I definetely needed to read this today. I have a bad habit of comparing myself to others...

For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

This is so true.  You take one day at a time and thank God for your progress.
