This week will be tempting and whether you're a newbie or a veteran, this time of year can break you. You have people bringing in cookies, fudge, brownies and candy to work. You will have family gatherings for Christmas Eve and Christmas and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

* If you're on liquids and mushies, please search for recipes on oh site that will satisfy your palate so you don't feel left out. Also make sure you're getting your water in. There is a member named eggface that has a wonderful blog to get you through this phase.

* Watch your portions !!!! The farther out you are, sometimes the more you can eat but just because you can doesn't mean you should. We had surgery for a reason and if you go back to the same old, same old then you will gain your weight back.

*Enjoy your family and not obsess about the food for the first time in your life.

*I don't try new things if I'm not home but I'm far enough out to put a spoon of whatever I want on my plate but I eat my protein first and usually I don't have room for all the other stuff.

*Empty calories will just add problems and cause pain in the long run. Dedee talked about that on her post about the alcohol and empty calories are any calories that are not helpful to your program and only add calories.

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Holiday, Happy Chanukah and Happy New Year !!!!!!

Thanks Killa,
I did very well on Thanksgiving but have been a lost cause this week already. I have to make 3 chess pies on Thursday (gimme stremph Lawd) and PRAY that I don't spiral even further out of control. Then to top it off, I accidently drank carbonation on Thanksgiving when I decided to taste thi*****h that my Brother made by mixing who knows what else to iced tea and Vernors. I didn't know that the Vernors was in there until it was too late and wouldn't you know I found out on today that he will be making the punch at my Sisters on Christmas. My throat is already craving it so please PRAY that I do not succumb to the evil temptation.

fill up a small cup of ice.. then add a little less than half with punch.. and slowly nurse it.. sip on it slowly.. u can get a faint taste of what everyone else is drinking. and not look to out of place.. and then u wont have to deal with the why areyou not drinking punch questions.
