this was on point!!!!

I have a co-worker who was over 300+, she was the talk of the office (in a negative way).  when i had my surgery, she would always talk to me and come to me for info.  i referred her to my surgeon.  She went to him, and ultimately had the surgery.......................to date she has loss all her weight.......over 150 lbs.  she has reached goal..........she became the poster WLS child at "our" doctor's office......i could hardly handle it, seriously!!!  Why??  because I didn't work my tool 100%, i lost weight but never reached my goal, and now 3 years  later i struggle.  When she came back to work and as the weight seemed to melt off, i found myself getting very envious..............i encounted emotions i didn't even realize i had !  I still deal with it, but it's getting better.  I had to learn that  this is my journey.....and our struggles are different...............and that when i entered the WLS arena..........it wasn't a free pass to easy weight loss...............a tool a tool a tool .......................hind sight is 20/20 !!!

thanks for the post ! it's sooo true !!!!

I appreciate your in depth analysis.  I hope its helping you to get back on track as much as its helping others to stay or get on track.

You are so correct abut how individual this really is.  I don't match anyone else I've encountered her or irl in the way I loose.  This frustrates me because I work my tool to the max.

Some  times average is a good thing.  I understand why I'm different but Its still a daily struggle to accept this and avoid comparisons.
