Good reads!
Hey people, I'm an avid reader and I'm coming up on the end of my present read.....Dan Browns "The Symbol".
What are you guys reading or have read. I love fiction but whatever you are reading or have read that you deem as good, I'm game.
I observed a woman on the train reading "the 7 habits of highly successful people" I read the first few pages and may read the rest on my Kindle.
What say you BAF...what have you read the you believe as excellent.

Funny you ask. I just did a reading marathon yesterday, which I tend to do every few days.
I read "Indians of California, their changing image" and "They saw the Elephant."
Last week I read, "Ishi in Two Worlds: A biography of the Last Wild Indian in Noth America."
I am a historical reader.

Howdy do Wanka,
I know what you mean about The Symbol, there was so much hype built up about Dan Browns next book but it just didn't deliver for me like Angels and Demons.
I'm on the last 2 chapters and it really feels like it could have ended already.
Thanks I'll check out the sample of The Lovely Bones soon.

I thought Andels & Deamons was Browns best work. The others were just ok. I like the puzzle solving aspect of his works but his characters and plots don't do it for me. Too much reliance on inuendo and not enough development. I'll probably read Symbol but I'm in no hurry.
I've had 7 Habits for years but never did fini****
I'm getting ready to start Dean Koontz's Frankenstein Book Two. Now there is a writer that can weave an intricate tale with no loose threads or flat endings.
Davis Baldaci has a new one that I will be waiting for in paperback.
Also, I'm reading a European author. The title is The Quiet Girl. Its a quasi paranormal mystery/ suspense thriller. A real 'inside the characters head' approach to the story.
Can you tell I'm a bibliophile or what, lol.
