Will I ever...

So I had my surgery one week ago today and as I've been dealing with this post op phase I have so many wonders now.  For example:

Will I ever guzzle water or will I sip, sip, sip forever?
Will I ever drink coffee again?
Will I ever get rid of this horrible taste in my mouth?

I know these things seem minor now but I'm so sick of sipping and just want to guzzle some darn water right about now.

Loving my new life and all the wonderful things that go with it, on to my next journey!  99 pounds down and about 10 more to go but it has been a heck of a ride...

After being 2 year out I'm still not able to drink water.  But what ever I drink I sip, ever now and then I guzzle and have the worst stomache. I do drink decafe coffe a 1/2c. at a setting only. And the horrible taste comes and goes.
Go luck with your journery it will have it's up and downs.  But more ups that you forget about the down.

May not be where I want to be but I glad to be where I'm at.
Working at getting the rest of the way.

Guzzling gives me a stomach ache.

My surgeon permits coffee after the first month.

Can't speak for the taste but perhaps a sf mint?

It does get easier.  Promise.

GM mywlsjourney09................Congrats and welcome to the losers bench!  Remember that always.......you're on the other side, and it's a journey of good, great and not-so-good days.  But the great ones far outweigh the bad because it's a positive to lose this baggage of weight that we've accumulated over the years.  Saying that.........

I'm just a few months out, and sipping water/liquids will be your new normal.  Get used to it.  You'll adjust shortly.  I just finished a 1/2 cup of coffee, which I do about 3-4 days a week.  Your tastebuds will be ever changing.  Luckily for me, I've lost my the taste for sweets pretty much, and I think it's b/c of the awful taste that all of the sweet protein and vits left in my mouth in the beginning.

Keep your eye on the prize and you'll begin to see all of your rewards of wl real soon!

Happy Holidays!

I drink coffee everyday, there are also alot of coffee flavored proteins out there.   Click, Inspire, and Achiev make the ones I drink.  Hope this helps!

I'd love to guzzle, but I sip and I'm just done with being angry about it!  Coffee is something I'm released to at my 8 week mark.  And the taste in your mouth should go away after you are out of ketosis and can add vegetables.  At least that's what I'm told!

I'm 4 years out and I can't guzzle like I used to but it is more than sip, sip, sip.  I drink decaf coffee (with protein) every morning.  The caffeine makes me jittery.  The taste in your mouth comes and goes.  I keep SF mints/gum on hand for that.

Wishing you all the best in your weight loss journey!

Hey..Congrats and good luck...

I do not guzzle but it is more than a sip, if that makes sense...I do not drink coffee but many others do from what I read, I have no bad taste in my mouth, maybe right after surgery, so hopefully that will go away.
