Is life after surgery hard??
For me it is more weird than hard...The transformation and the emotional aftermath takes a lot of getting used to...eating is okay...sometimes it is frustrating because it can take me about 20 minutes to decide what to have forlunch and dinner but for the most part it is okay...Dating is awkward because at a restaurant I have to be strategic about what I get and make sure I do not eat beforehand...Overall it is VERY enjoyable and I love every minute of it.

Not hard but it is not easy. You have to be mentally ready to do everything you know differently. I'm 9 months post op and I'm still working on losing the weight. However You can't go back to the foods you eat now and no can never go back to sodas etc. Excersice will always have to be a part of your life. So if you are ready for that then you can handl this life style change with no problems.
I think it's all relative to what you consider "hard" because life for most of use was "hard" before WLS due to whatever factors you had difficulty with. I found it hard to breath after going up stairs and trying to figure out a way around things like that. I found it "hard" not to make jokes about my weight in order to beat others to the punch about it. WLS is serious stuff so that may make it "hard" for some but if we are honest with ourselves which version of "hard" would you rather have, the before or after?
