Nope it is not just you because I have noticed a decline as well.  I will be the first to say that I don't always do what I need to do. I do try to remember to pay it forwad and I try to respond to any post that is related to WLS.

No Cookie, it's not just you. It doesn't seem like folks are that interested in healthy behaviors. I look to this board for accountability but other than the few "regulars" it's not much going on here.

Ok you may not agree but I honestly think it hasn't been a lot of drama on here and for the vets..............it's boring but what about us newbies that still need to know about WLS??? I mean that is the point right?

I agree...........Faith does try her best to pay it forward with weight loss tips as well.

I hate that phrase "Pay it Forward,"  but i'll use it for this purpose only.   lol.

I think I pay it forward in the motivation aspect,  even times when I don't get any support at all people know that they can log on here and see that the fat girl from California is still going to be here pushing herself to workout extremes.

Now I will say that I am slacking in responding to the newbie questions, and it is not on purpose it's just that I just don't really read many posts.   But I think I will start because while I don't have advice on how they can maintain or lose weight,  I can warn them of the perils of getting FAT again.

Lee,

You are the motivation for plenty around here............trust me and a down right inspiration for me personally.

I haven't been around too long but I think we sometimes feel like............a lot of the questions are stupid but I try to remember......I still ask some too. I think Rhonda said it best when she said half the stuff people ask can be "googled" but it helps if someone on here has personal experience with it too.

Don't hate the phrase LOL. You have motivated me to exercise when my butt only wants to sit on the couch. You are definitely a motivator.

You know what Cookie I was talking to a friend yesterday telling her about this site and what a support everyone is for anyone going through a weight loss journey.  I went on to tell her about people who are 3 -15 years into their journey and maintaining the struggle, staying connected with support and or their goal weight.  She was so surprised that there were people who were a success beyond 3 or 4 years because her and a group of  5 friends had WLS a number of years ago and all of them have gained all of there weight back and they had no real support or follow up.

I say all of this to say that this site is so important to me and others and we may take it for granted.  I am a lurker but that's the role I play on the boards.

But to answer your question hell yea I'm interested in weight loss and healthy behaviors BUT like someone before me said some of the things I do may be unconventional to others but they work for me and just like in "real life"  I'm a pretty private person and ain't gonna give anyone ammunition to flame me :)  By the way I'm riding the protein train I plan to lose 12 lbs by Christmas :)

I appreciate the value of staying connected.
Peace

I agree that often times this message board goes off topic and away from strictly weight loss issues.  I also agree that we are not always supportive of each other and there have been harsh words said and feelings hurt, which should never be acceptable under any cir****tances.  I also say that there is a place on OH for rants and raves and all out *****ing without a point other than to ***** and it should be done there.

BUT.... along with protein, water, vitamins and workouts comes life and life happening is all apart of our weight loss journey as well.  An uphappy relationship or a loss of a job effects weight loss.  Where we stand spiritually and emotionally is a direct correlation to how we are doing in our weight loss.   It has been studied and proven that happy people with some sort of spiritual life do better in all areas of life, especially weight loss.  Learning to cope with life as a formally fat person takes time and practice and that is what should also be discussed on this board along with the basics.

Love is all there is, ever was or ever will be...
