Hey Fam I hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving. I would like some help and I know there is someone out there can help. I was wondering is there anything that I may need to do special or any special things I might need to have at home after my tummy tuck? I know that it is very painful. I dont have a recliner to sleep in to help so I wondering what can I use to help with support of my stomach so i want have to bend so much to get in and out of bed.If anyone have any ideas or suggestion I am open for them and Thanks fam

Hello I never seen you post here before.. regardless.

I RENTED a recliner for a week while I recovered from my tummy tuck.
I also bought a couple of extra pillows to have for support on my back when I decided to sleep in the bed. I also went home with a pain pump it was so worth the $400 I paid for it, I swear my Tummy tuck was a cake walk compared to other surgeries I had in the past (Open RNY, Bowel Obstruction). I am not sure if this also helped BUT my surgeon gave me a list of OPTIONAL over the container vitamins prepare my body for my tummy tuck. (Man I LOVE that doctor)

Good Luck with your recovery!!

hey Diva

For me one of the things that was really helpful is having a full body compression garment. It helps to keep everything 'compressed in to the body' which minimizes discomfort when moving. The garment my doc gave me went from just below my breast to above my knees. I always advise slow and methodical movements will save you lots of ouchys. I definitely appreciated extra pillows. I was not a recliner person but many really love the recliner for several weeks. I liked the bed with extra pillows for support. Oh yea and Tylenol PM was a good friend.

God speed on  your journey!
