Thanksgiving at my brothers was hell on wheels during dinner. I couldn't understand why in the HELL people CONTINUOULSY insisted that I could eat more even AFTER I said more than thrice that I can't.

Me: My stomach can only hold about a cup of food at a time.

Sister-in-laws friend: Now I know good and well you can eat more than that! Look at her plate yall.

Me: No dear, this is my limit and I am not going to test the waters to see what happens.

What I wanted to and SHOULD'VE said was look heffa, just because you are balancing 3 plates like a waitress don't mean that I have too. Just wanted justification for being Thanksgreedy.

I truly believe that they wanted to see if I would burst.

I did well and was even down 2 lbs today. Mere lbs away from onederland finally and in a 16.

So are there anymore horror stories out thurr?

Gurrrrl I aint lyin, this chick actually had 3 plates filled to the brink and ATE every drop!

after having surgery doesn't it seem like those who haven't eat entirely too much? I wasn't a volume eater before my 2 surgeries, mine was the sweets and other good stuff.

Well...I was a binge eater as well as a carb addict...so before WLS...I have been known to down my three plates and clean up the leftovers on some one elses BUT I  agree...when I see people eating that much now it literally makes me sick AND sad for them at the same time.

I do hate it though when people try to sabotage others just because they can't get a grip! I am glad you stood your ground. I personally can't recall trying to sabotage anyone as a Pre-op when I knew they were on a diet or something...so I have a hard time getting why others choose to do it....  I know it has a lot to do with the personality of the person though.

I agree MD,
the same as the "hatin" I remember a friend of mine lost over 100 lbs and I was truly happy for her so it came as a shock to me that wls is life saving for most goes out the window for those who do not like the fact that you have taken control of your health.

Last week I had a photo taken with a friend and my sister at an event. My sister has put on a lot of weight in the body but not the face. I am 5'6 as so is my friend and my sister is all of 5"2. She was asked to stand in front while my friend and I stand in the back.
My sister REFUSED to stand in the front and I personally could not see how she would even be seen in the picture. She stood in the back and peeked her head all the way around us. Yeah she's in the picture but she was looking right smart silly.

For the first time "Gobble till you wobble" wasn't my thanksgiving motto. I had about a teaspoon of all my favs and that was still only a 1/2 cup of food (cause my Auntie made the dressing and I don't even get down lol) but I ate and was comfortable and didn't have to have to make an emergency run to my Granny's 1 bathroom that is inches  from the bathroom (OK not really, but it would have felt like it) LMBO

Well, my great-aunt tooted her noise up because my mother made some yam casserole just for me (It was made with Splenda...the other one was made with regular sugar and brown sugar), but she's a mean and hateful ole bat so I just looked at her and looked away.

Then she asks "What CAN you eat? Nothing?" and I looked at her again and said, I can eat any of this stuff out here..just on a way smaller scale. I had about a tablespoon of everything and was happy. I also told her that I had lost 20lbs since my surgery on Nov. 6. She was truly surprised.

I just smiled and looked away. Ole bat.

I grazed pretty much the entire day. I'm on six small meals per day so it worked out well.

Congrats on those two pounds!!!
