Morning Yall

Wow I didn't want to run today and I swear I almost didn't but it's done.   WEEK 7 IS COMPLETE.
I am so happy this week is done because it was mentally difficult for me,  really difficult.

This morning I got up and watched "Spirit of the Marathon,"  just to put me in the proper mindset to complete this program because I want to finish this and this movie is definately helping put me back in the right mind.

OK,  I am dreading Week 8 on Mondy,  but I will get up and do it.  But i'm scurred.   LOL.

I know it's hard getting up running after a big eating day and a day when you want to sleep in, but I hope you guys get your run in some time today.

LET'S FINISH THIS......

I will run in the morning, but I am behind a week.  I'm trying to decide to if I want to make up the week I missed, or start week 8.  I did run last week and I did a spin class.  I think I need to do week 7.

Take it from me Linda,  you don't want to skip to week 8.  I am dreading week 8 because week 7 killed me so bad,  I'm so glad it is over.

I am wondering if it was more of a mental thing with week 7,  I will find out when I start on Week 8 on Monday.

I'll let you know about my torture come Monday morning.   Don't skip week 7,  just do it and fini**** and hopefully it is not as bad for you as it was for me.

Ok.  I started week 7 this morning.  It was a BEAST!  Thankfully I had hubby with me.  I can kind of use him as a trainer when I need to.  He's 6'4" and his legs are WAY longer, so I can run and he can walk and lengthen his stride and we move together.

Here's how this morning went.

Segment 1:  I eased into a jog.  9 minutes is a LONG dang time!

Segment 2:  I am running now.

Segment 3:  I see I need some help with pacing.  So I put hubby in front and told him to jog.  I had to run like crazy just to keep up and not look too bad chasing behind him LOL.

Segment 4:  Still chasing hubby.

Segment 5: Told hubby to start race walking which allowed me to go back to a jog.

Segment 6: Still jogging, but feeling good.

This was about 3.5 miles.  I ran an additional 1.5 miles non-stop.  I finally broke through that wall.  I could have kept going.  It was a good run.  I still have energy.  I am house cleaning now.  Getting ready for the FL vs. FL State football game.

This Week 7 ain't nothing to be played with.  But, I went into it knowing I had to kick some butt.
