I posted this info under Neenaj post but thought I would include it here just in case it might be of benefit to someone.

I am right here with you Neenaj. Why throw away money when there are so many bargains to be had. I always joke that William Shatner needs to give me his job as the spokesperson for Priceline.com. Its the only way I book my hotel stays for leisure travel. I know that I have saved at least 50% or more on hotels over the last few years. If you don't know....you better ask somebody! My history is below...and shows some of the great deals I have recieved. Most times I will only book 3 star hotels because then I am sure to get a Hilton, Sheraton or the like. In some instances and in larger cities...I will go for the 2 or 2.5 stars because they are usually Residence Inns, Springfield Suites and the like....and include a hot breakfast in most cases. You have to be careful though because in some cities, you will end up in a dump with a 2 or 2.5. I have so much experience using it....so I have been disappointed only once that I can recall.
The thing about Priceline....you really need to book as close to your day of departure to get a room at the best price. The hotels are basically selling the rooms that they expect to go unfilled. If you absolutely need to be some where and dont want to get locked out. I usually will reserve a room through normal channels (directly with the hotel). If I am fortunate to get a good deal through Priceline...I go ahead and cancel my direct reservation. I will use them when I need to book a room for a out of town guests too. Everyone is so much more comfortable.
Anyone need any help or pointers with using Priceline and bidding, just hit me on the BL! Happy traveling and Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I am surprised that more people I encounter dont use Priceline. Anyone that I have ever gave the scoop, always thanks me over and over for giving them the info.

My Trips (prices are per night) Some are suites, but most doubles.
Just google the hotels so you can get an idea of the amenities. Only drawback....you have no choice of the hotel but I have never had one that did not meet the parameters I set (i.e. location, star rating) The prices below does not include about $10-15 in fees but they are still great bargains....under 50% of AAA rates. I am not going to add in all the prices and hotel names (getting tired) but you get the idea. My history page does not give the price and hotel name...I have to click on each one to get that info...so I added the additional info so you could get the picture.Purchase Date | City | Star Level | Request Number |

Hey Meso!
What you sippin on gurl?? I was thinking about getting my sip on a little as well seeing that I am off for the next few days. I am getting ready to do one of my girl's hair...so I will wait until after or she will be jacked up for Monday.
The feeling is SO very mutual gurl. YOu are a true sweetheart and I appreciate all your support. Be good and stay safe girlfriend!
Birdman....try it once or twice and you will definitely be hooked. If you do a lot of travelling like I do....it will definitely be worth it for you to book hotels this way. The neat thing about Priceline.....you can also extend your stay at the same hotel if needed for the same price.
One thing to keep in mind, you MUST call the hotel directly to request your room type or they will just give you their default room...double or King. So if you prefer a King OR double...best to call ahead. Other than that....really a piece of cake.
