As much as they TRY to rehabilitate these perverts and to no avail....I would rather see a young boy get a chance at correction...than to see him snuffed out....like a roach.  Lawd help us if we make it okay for parents to kill the children.... enough of them are being killed already for doing absolutely nothing other than breathing.

I don't have a problem with corporal punishment.....and PUTTING the fear in the child...but I would never take them out of this world....even if I say it. Just words....not to be taking literally.  Whenever it gets to that point....then I would have to go with them....and take myself out as well.

The issue with child molestation....in most cases people are giving people FREE access to their children.  People leaving their kids unsupervised.... I mean its not unusual for young children...especially teenagers to experiment...especially...if they are given opportunities and their hormones are racing. Does not make it right. I am a survivor...and I know why...in two of the cases...now that I am old enough to process it.  Unsupervised teenaged boys who had FREE access to me.  There is no way in hell...I would leave my girls in the company of a teenaged boy unsupervised....same goes for man or woman....if I don't know their histories. Background checks come in real handy...but even still....why create an opportunity to test a situation.

One things I do know....the teenagers did not go on to become child molesters as adults. They did other things...and were promiscuous in other ways but with adults..... I am  sure thats the case with a lot of teenagers.

Its just sad...all the way around..... I am with the castration though for convicted adults. There are some molesters that have actually begged for it...and submitted voluntarily...when they really wanted help. I say...this or life in prison should be their only choice

ETA: And if I had a son....I would not put him in this position to be tempted or curious. I would have had a hard talk with him about not only the birds and the bees but about sexual inappropriateness and consequences. I will do the same with my teenaged daughter.

I bet you ...they had that boy babysit that child on more than one occassion. Just not a good idea...no matter how good you think you have raised your child. They will always have outside influences.

I think some of you are misunderstanding the "I'll take you out" view that some parents have.  Is it cold blooded?  I don't think so because when a parent does follow through on something like that there has to be a lot of pain involved in hurting their own child.  It's a crime of passion... the heat of the moment...  A parent would most likely have become unhinged.  It follows the thought process that this person is a reflection of me and "I" did something wrong for my child to turn out this way. The parent who goes to that extreme has no problem giving up their life because it's usually looked as both of us leaving this world... not just my child.    I'm always shocked when parents sit by and don't even try to get help for their kids.  Getting help should be the first thing done but in most cases parents either sit by and do nothing and watch their child hurt person after person or they take it to the other extreme and kill the child.  For some reason there is no middle ground.

A co-worker was at a  family cookout and his daughter was molested during the party.  A 14 year old boy had gotten her pants off during the party.  While everyone was outside he had somehow gotten her alone in the house.  Can you imagine walking in on something like that?  I still don't know what my male co-worker did but he did take several weeks off work to take care of his daughter.  I would have come unglued if I walked in on something like that.  I wouldn't have killed him but I would have been swinging.

Molestion does not always involve penetration.  You can be touched, forced to touch someone or be forced to watch someone or porn for it to qualify as molestation.  Castration does not work because the abuser will then just use objects or other parts of his body to continue to abuse.

Hey Tsunami,

To me it still comes back to the parent....first off...my girls would not be out of my eye sight long enough for that to occur...even if over to family. ( I don't trust too many folks with my girls)...and both...know that its inappropriate for anyone to touch them let alone get their pants down....and they know to scream, kick, bite, not keep secrets etc... etc... A lot of the problem comes in because people feel a sense of false security... I think my history...makes me overly cautious with things like this.

I don't know...I guess I do understand where you are coming from with the "I'll take you out" now that you have explained it further. I guess most people are either successful at putting the fear in the child so they haven't had to follow through or the child has gone on to commit  other crimes and then the system handles it. ...which is not a good outcome for sure. i just have not heard about too many people taking their kids out...not even back in the day...when kids as a whole were more disciplined. I mean I heard it too....but I never believed  anyone would take me out. I say it enough....but I never had any intent on using it. is that the flaw in todays society. I don't know.

If I had to think of a hypothetical situation when I might find it necessary to take my own child out....I would say...it would have to be at the point that I thought they were evil...not innocently experimenting but perhaps acting as if they were possessed or something. I would really have to believe in my heart that they were seriously...irreparably messed up and prone to be a menace to society. As I said earlier...I would have to go too.... It definitely would have to be a situation when I didn't think they could be helped. My reaction would be totally different if the perp was closer to 17-18. Then I most definitely would treat that person as an adult. They would then be beyond the age at which they could have normal sexual activity with their peer group...experimentation should be OVER by then....at this stage...I would see more of a pedophile mindset in the works.

Again...it all comes back to educating the children. I wonder what kind of talks that father had with his child before he killed him. I wonder if he even talked to him about sex. I just wonder.... Like you said folks just sit idly by...and do nothing...until its too late.

I mean...while there are outside influences...for the most part...children are a product of how they were raised. Most that put in the effort are successful at keepng the child from going astray.

I say this as I hold my breathe...because my girls are 6 and 11. I am already putting the fear in my oldest...cause I can already see the "attitude" that she tries to let creep out. I have already jacked her up against the wall once or twice...just to let her know...

My mother says this too Tsunami and I tell her yes it may be so but then I say castrate their hands should it be discovered that they are using objects on children. I believe that it CAN be stopped.

Hi Ktjajj,

Believe me....I have two girls and I have tried to think what would I do if faced with that same scenario. For me though...it really comes down to the age of the child. if we were talking 17-18..I would be out for blood too because we might be talking about a whole different mindset...in my opinion.

What would you do..if it was your 15 year old boy? Do you think you would kill him?
