How Tragic, Man kills his teenage son for sexually abusing his little sister.
How tragic. That little girl is going to be totally messed up. Not only does she have to deal with the sexual abuse by her brother, but she'll tottally internalize his death as being her fault & her dad being taken away from her as being her fault. Jr's mom needed to handle it, but she definitely didn't do it in the right way. If he was a grown tail man, yes call the dad, but the boy was only 15. He needed intervention w/clergy & therapists to address this issue & since his parents weren't together, I feel should have had clergy or a mediator there with them when it was revealed he was molesting his half sister.
He allready had the gun on him obviously when relatives tried to intervene, but he beat the boy down in the head & then shot him. Was that this type of of discplinary action the norm for him? I bet there's a sad back story to this. It took a lot of guts for that boy to admit he was a molester. That was an obvious cry out for help & studies show that molesters were victims of molestation themselves.

November 19, 2009. MediaTakeOut.com learned of a sad story today. A Detroit man named Jamar Pinkney is charged with CAPITAL murder for killing his own son.
Here's what happened. Jamar's 15 year old son (Jamar Jr) confessed to his mother that he was molesting his 3 year old half sister (his father's daughter with another woman). Jr's mother immediately called up Jamar Sr and told him what his teenage son was doing. And Jamar Sr flew into a rage.
Here's how the teenage boy's aunt recalls the incident:
The elder Jamar apparently beat up his son. Then took him out into a field behind the house and shot him.
As sad as the story sounds, we don't think the dad should go to jail for murder. Maybe manslaughter or something ...

This is how it is being reported in Detroit. Family members asy the mother of the little girl might have been lying. This is so tragic for everyone involved. I hope the woman was not lying on the boy.

Howdy,
yes this happened in Highland Park Mi. on last Monday. It just hit the national news on Friday.
What makes this story even more heartbreaking is the fact that after the little girl was examined by a Doctor it was determined that she had not been penetrated as once thought. It was later reported that when the young man went to a relative, he did so asking for help because he felt that he needed it.
As for the Father, they are using the heat of passion defense which could have his first degree murder charges dropped to manslaughter.
It was reported by witnessess that after being beaten, he was stripped naked, marched outside into the field, and ordered to his knees. Witnesses said that the boy begged for his life and was shot execution style anyway. His Grandfather said that he will never understand how his father could just shoot him like a dog. Just sad.
I think that this crime, the Shaniya Davis tragedy, and the case of the 15 yr old that lured a 9 yr old to two shallow graves that she dug and then proceeded to kill her because that heffa wanted to know how it felt to kill somebody has just brought the state of Michigan just that much closer to re-instating capital punishment. Enough is enough.

I hadn't heard about the 15 year, but that's a straight up psychopath, which i'm sure there were telltale signs prior to her killing that poor girl, that would have clued the family in that she was "not normal" & thus could have prevented that tragedy.
It's all so sad & worse yet, on mt's posting of the story about the killing, they said it was fatherly justice & feel that he should only get manslaughter. It all just burns me up.

I heard this on the radio Friday while driving in the car. They didn't give any reasons as to why the Father shot his son execution style in the field next door, now I'm reading that he may or may not have molested the toddler? That the Mother of the toddler may have lied/exaggerated about what the boy actually said? OMG, no one tried to investigate his allegations b/4 calling his Father? That's just awful. For the life of me, whatever a child of mine has done, I know I could never just shoot them like a horse with a broken leg. Kick their azz yeah, but shoot them dead hell nawl. But that's just me.
This is really sad.
What is wrong with people in this system of things?
Whatever happened to letting the police handle criminal acts?
I guess I have a double standard way of thiking on this situation because this boy was just that a boy and not yet a grown man.
This situation should have been handled through the police, church, therapy, and so on and not street justice by his own father.
If it was a grown man I could maybe even try to make some sense of how the father reacted out of rage, but not towards his own lil son and his flesh and blood.
While if he did do what was alledged he is extremely sick and needed help, but he was a child and not a grown man and possibly could have been rehabilitated.
The sad part is that they are saying the mother possibly lied about the whole situation or got it wrong and that is even sadder because now he is dead and can't be brought back.
SMH.

My sentiments exactly. It took courage on that young man's part to admit his sins & cry out for help. That was truly a brave thing to do, he knew what he was doing was monsterous & faced his demons. How sad that the biggest demon of them all was his own father, who ended up taking his life. You know he knew it was going to hit the fan, he'd be punished, and from how his father reacted, was certain that he'd get the beat down of his life, but he probably neve imagined that he'd lose it.
parents rarely change their discplinary style, even when they're on fire, that's why i don't think that was the first time he'd been beat in the head & still he had the courage to ask for help.

I agree with you on all points.
No one just wakes up one day and starts beating their child like that.
I don't care what they did.
There has to be a past of him beating him.
I am curious to see what kind of sentence the father gets and how the media spins this.
I pray for his family.
