Thx for adding me.

That is so funny.

I am desperate at this point to get back on track.

Yeah Progression lights are good.  My first one was very very light and I loved it cause it made me feel like the sun was shinning on me, it even emitted a little heat.  That was years ago.

Your right Yess they come in all different price points.

Make sure you also get bulbs all over your house, also so you don't have shadows,  cause shadows can start the depression process.  My entire house has the super bright light bulbs, and now a days they are energy efficient.

Thanks Lee,
that is half the problem for me. I have flourescent lighting in the kitchen but everything else is dark. I need bright lights in the bathroom and livingroom. I like the uv lights by GE they are nice and my plants benefit more than me.

I like the feature of the nature sounds of birds and crickets and stuff.

I never get the depression with mine which is why my Dr. said that mine is more shift worker related. My aunt and brother who both worked midnights for 30 years also suffer from it so I will be telling them about the alarm clock.

My sleep patterns are off the chain...for instance:

I am usually up all night and will get to sleep at 7 or 8. On any given day my eyes may pop open at 11 am and I get up but am extra fatigued OR I may not wake up and sleep until 8 pm missing the whole day.

I needed to be at a MS event yesterday at 8am so I told my sister who drove that if I cant sleep then I would just stay up. I took 3 pills that make me drowzy but only slept for an hour. (I felt like Michael Jackson) I made the event and my sister said make SURE that you stay up the rest of the day and you will be able to sleep tonight. I did that and STILL couldn't sleep last night. I got to sleep after 7 this morning and had my friend not called at 5 for me to do her farm on farmtown I would still be sleep. Now I am wide awake til who knows when.

My mother has a key and her caregiver will be coming in with the key tomorrow to get me up just so I can get to the Dr at 2. Lawd have mercy.

I notice that I'm a little more blue at this time of the year. I don't know if it's a combination of the sucky holiday season or it being dark when I go to work and come home. I do a few things to help me along the way.

1. I push myself with my exercise plan this time of year. Exercise can help with depression.
2. On nice days, I make sure to leave the office for an hour. I don't care if it's butt cold outside, if the sun is shining , I'm outside for a short walk, or a stroll through Target.
3. On the weekends when the weather is nice, I go for long drives. Or I take my exercise routine out of the gym and on the trails to soak up some sun rays. Again, I bundle up and get outdoors.
4. I try to talk to a someone a friend, or family member when I'm really blue. Most of the time, I realize that I'm just in a funk for no reason and snap out of it.

I hope you can get through this time of year. I know it's tough!

Thanks for this info. I'm going to check into this light. My hubby works swing shifts and I don't know how he does it, one month night shift next month day. My sleep pattern is like Que's and I'm in the middle of a fibro flare. I'm on a cpap machine but they haven't been able to find a face mask to fit me and one that doesn't cause me an allergic reaction to. I haven't had a good night's sleep in about 3 weeks and I'm exhausted and heck yeah I'm depressed. I'm stepping up my exercise but I would love to join the Y and get in the arthritis pool and do yoga because that helps also. Exercise helps to raise your serotonin levels and helps with the depression. Thanks everyone for the input.
