Has your personality changed since WLS?
I'm just curious if any of you have experienced being told that your personality or you have changed since WLS?
If so, please share what others have said to you.
I've been told that I'm more aggressive and am not as agreeable as I used to be
. Not really sure what that means, but that is what I've been told.

No change for me personally but so many people I've spoken with say their new found self confidence and open self love is interpreted as agressive or selfish. IMHO, these are just folks who can no longer manipulate you into always putting them ahead of yourself and that breeds resentment.

Some people have personality changes due to hormonal imbalances. There is estrogen in our body fat and when we lose weight quickly, our hormone levels are off. My emotions were all over the place for the first year and now I'm at a stable weight and I'm better. I called it the roller coaster effect because I would be up and down. That's one of the reason's I call this a journey because I'm always learning something new. You're not alone.

Just like when you boil something it condenses and concentrates - losing weight has condensed and sharpened my personality. I was always SOME kinda crazy and off the chain.... NOW.......
