I get my Invisaligns on Friday, But I got some worries

Lee, I will be watching for your posts too.  I am getting Invisaligns on my bottom teeth in January (Have to wait until my adult ortho insurance kicks in).  I've had several surgeries on my gums, and my teeth are very "spacey" down there.  Now that my top teeth are looking great, I have to line up the bottom ones too.  I'm over 50 and I'm also too cute for the "tin grin".  I had metal ones in my early 30's on the uppers and won't go through that again!!  I hope the dentist gives me some pain meds!!  LOL

I have the Invisalign braces now; I have had them in since June of this year and they can be very painful.  Since I have (had) a large gap in my front teeth, I will be wearing the top set for a while.  When I change the braces out every two weeks - the pain is terrible. 

I do eat a lot less because I don't want to take the braces out and brush my teeth.  I use to eat several time a day, but now I only eat 3 times a day.

The dr. had to do surgery with a laser to remove the skin between my top teeth & lip (I had a shot so there was no pain)  He also shaped the gums above my top teeth.  I still have a while to go with my top teeth, but I am getting compliments already.

After I finish the brace process, my dr. said that he's going to whiten my teeth (he does it in the office in a one step process)  I'm not finished and I am already very pleased with what I see!

You will get use to having the braces and you can pop them in and out with no problem -- they loosen up after a couple of days.
