I get my Invisaligns on Friday, But I got some worries

After all this planning and all the jaw pain and neck pain from my teeth grinding,  I start the process on Friday but now I have a huge worry.

My worry is that I won't be able to snack the way I like, cause you have to take them out when you eat anything.     Now I know that is a big girl worry but it is a huge worry for me, cause I eat every 3 hours.

Now I don't know what to do.   LOL

Hey Lee!

I don't have much personal input for you but I found this thread on the site. Seems she got some good feedback. Take care.

Lee you will be fine this is my field of expertise. Advice take Tylenol before your appointment cause you will be sore. There are easy to remove and put on once you get use to them so don't worry about it but they will be tight. You will be brushing your teeth like never before because you don't want anything to get stuck or to show. They will probably put on what is called buttons on your teeth this willhelp the teeth move into position.  But don't worry if you have any questions let me know.

I am nerveous about them now because I do eat every couple of hours, and I know I have to take them off to eat and I don't want to mess up my results, but I figured they will probably help with my snacking.

I have been watching a bunch of you tube videos about the pain,  I really hope they don't hurt a lot.

Right now I have a headaches, neck and jaw pain every day from my teeth grinding and i'm really hoping that these will help with the grinding also.  A lot of people have said that it has helped them with the grinding.   I hope it helps me with that cause all this neck, jaw, and upper shoulder pain sucks.

Thanks BBSpecial,  I will probably bug the heck out of you with questions.

I have invisaligns!!! I'm on the retainer phase but I did start the process after WLS. It is a pain taking them in and out but my vanity trumped that. My teeth look great!!!

Shani did it help you cut down on your snacking?

Do you have to get your teeth whitened after your done?

Do you wear your retainer all the time now?   Do you wear them when you sleep?

Did you have a lisp?

Was there a lot of pain in the beginning?

I actually eat more after WLS than before. I eat like 6 times a day

They gave me a prescription whiting kit but I haven't used it yet. I'm gonna use it in April when I don't have to wear my retainer anymore.

Yup I wear it all day. Especially when I sleep. I thrust my tongue when I sleep so I will wear my retainer every nite forever.

Nope. As much as I talk that would be embarrasing

Every new set is pain. Some sets more than others. But just like if you had braces and got them tightened.  I had braces in high school and its the same pain

Thanks Shani

I just feel really nerveous about getting them.

Becca wants me to get the medal ones but there is no way my 46 year old ass is walking around with metal braces on.  She just wants to be able to pick on me and call me railroad tracks mouth.

Part of me says if I could do it over I would get the metal ones. Less money and less time and no taking them out. No chance of losing them. They are a GRIP to replace!

BUT I'm too cute for railroad track teeth!! LOL
