OT - From the "What had happened was" files...
That's the scarey part Whose really teaching the kids. If they are not child pretators, older teacher wanting to have sex with the kids they teach, ex-cons, or someone putting a hit on a student and I'm stretching it here but think about it. This crap is sad. Why do you want to be a eduactor? Looks like to me for their own selfish reasons.

Well that's just it. There are those *****ally want to teach the kids and don't have all of these hang ups regarding children. I'm not talking about them here. The ones that do have these hang ups however, AND are accessible to our children, I fear only do it because they have proven that no one would outright suspect them.
Based on that alone I think the so-called criminal justice system is quite unfair and very unbalanced at best.
They will send a person to prison for 5 to 10 years for smoking weed (harming only himself mind you) and let a child r*pist out of prison after 18 months due to overcrowding. Sum Ting Wong here!!!

Dbl_Ayy, before I got sick I was a teacher and let me tell you, kids have changed. I stopped teaching full-time in elementary school in 2000 and I had kids threatening to kill me by cutting my throat and watching me bleed to death and trying to kick me in the stomach while I was pregnant. These kids were k-5 th grades. I went back 3 yrs ago part time to high school and I had kids cussing me out just for asking them to work on a study sheet and some even stepped to me to hit me and I'm 6'3 and big but I told them that if they hit me, they must be prepared to defend themselves because "I don't play and will defend myself" and they backed down.
Unfortunately, my health failed and I couldn't go back to teaching but I think it's a blessing because I told those kids that I don't allow my own kids to talk to me like that, so I most definitely won't allow someone else's child to talk to me like that. School is no joke. I had students thanking me for standing up to the bullies so they could learn because the other teachers didn't but they have to deal with them everyday and I only had to part time. I couldn't do it full time anymore because it is too stressful and I would end up dead because I always fight for the underdog.

You're absolutely right with School is no joke.
And the lack of parents that really act like parents (instead of friends to their kids) helped make it that way. Parents need to stand up and stop expecting schools to be glorified daycare centers for their bad-azz kids who, once they step outta line and you as an educator have to correct them, the parents then come flying into the principal's office and try and run up in your face with train smoke blowing out of their nostrils cause you had to talk hard to Lil Knucklehead.

Now I gotta throw my hat in the ring on this one. And this is in no way a reflection of my thoughts and feelings re: the poor unfortunate Baby girl who was sold by her stankin azz Sorry excuse for neva' tryin to play a Mama. And if this little boy is truly being bullied by an authority figure shame on them...But... I work in a a school and something is stinking and it's not just these little boys. And yes I joke with kids all the time, that is part of relationship building... and in the enviroment where I work the only thing stopping them from shanking me in the lunch line is the fact that I was nice, or funny, or kind to them that one day.... 
and they all think that if they try me it's gonna be a bar brawl. That may have thwarted a couple of escape attempts or a hostage situation or 2.
I will bet you everything in my pocket ($2.35 , a $10 starbucks card with $3 sumpthin left on it, a losing lottery ticket and 3 pieces of lint) that this little pot licker is the worst kid in the dayum school district and now Momma see $$$ signs, so he's a victim.... every teacher he has ever had is probably sayin' "I wasn't gonna put a hit on the little Turd nugget, but I understand why somebdy would"

But girl I work in an alternative school and some days it feels like they should all be chanting "ATTICA, ATTICA" I swear it's gonna be an uprising in here one day, but I am gonna shuck and jive my way to safety reminding them (wink,wink) How cool I am... lol
